How wonderful to see a segment with Ella! She seems to have such a gentle disposition and looks like Mama Flo’s Mini Me!! And this video sure was a super cooking bonanza…glad I ate beforehand!! Such delicious looking dishes and an Ella appearance…how lucky we are!! TFS, Sharon🤗😊

All dishes look yummy, but I think my favourite was the Moo Shu Pork. 😋😋 Even more so, loved seeing Ella showing of her adeptness in the kitchen. She obviously didn't inherit her mom's "can't be bothered" gene. LOL She is such a sweet young lady! You and Dude must be very proud! 😊😊

Your delicious egg drop soup is another good one Flo!!! Prices are going up significantly here in Australia as well and our veggie prices have skyrocketed due to all the rain we've had. I think though we can all save money by wasting less too - I've been focusing on that and it HAS made a difference. I also try to stretch out the time between grocery shopping trips which forces me to use what's on hand and get creative. All your ideas help, so THANKS!!

Sending greetings from S.W. Ontario Canada. These meals looks so yummy🤗. I just would like to share something my Mum taught me when I was first learning to cook/bake. Her "tip" was to crack one egg at a time into a separate small bowl and then put the egg into your ingredients. This is to prevent cracking an egg that may have a blood spot in it/gone bad etc. and therefore possibly contaminating your bowl of ingredients.
@FloLum2 жыл бұрын
Yes… I learned that school as well. In all the years I’ve been cooking, I have to say I have never come across a bad egg but I can see benefit of not ruining a whole dish because of 1 bad egg!

I've been waiting for someone to do this! This is how I was taught ( even in school) to cook,so that I never had a bad egg to ruin the whole recipe!

Today, I made your Mee Goreng recipe from this video and used all the ingredients including the shrimp paste and sambal. Luckily, there's a nearby Asian market where I was able to purchase a 5 lb. bag of the fresh, cooked, Asian yellow egg noodles (my favorite new purchase). The recipe was easy to follow, it's absolutely delicious, and can't wait to make it again. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!

I agree with you about the humidity. My grandfather told me that his mother used to bake her bread on laundry day. Since she did the washing in the house, there was a lot of humidity in the kitchen, which she thought would help the bread. :)

Hey Flo, I'm from BC too and what has been saving me are boxes of frozen chicken. Save on Foods has 3kg boxes of boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts. Regular price is $35+ but they do go on sale for about $23-$25. If you have one nearby might be worth watching the flyers! Yes, they are frozen and are a bit watery when defrosted, but you do what you gotta do. Just passing along some info 🙂

I am new to your channel and love recipes. Your daughter is beautiful and has such a sweet voice. My mother never let me in the kitchen. She didn't want my husband who ever he would be to marry me because I could cook. As I grew older and married I had to learn everything on my own loving every minute. The problem is she never measured or wrote down anything so even though my food taste great it doesn't taste like mamas. You are building memories she will never forget. Best of all it will taste like moms!

Flo, i learned to make a bath of baking soda and water. Soak chicken for 5 minutes and rinse well. That gets rid of all that wild yukki taste and smell. And if you have leftovers, they taste just as fresh as the day you made it.
