I am from Malaysia and still here. I have one recipe from my teochew relative which i want to share. Basically, mix minced pork or chicken seasoned with chicken powder. Marinade. Slice bitter melon (maybe a small one). If you like it less bitter, brine it a while. Then squueze out the liquid and can rinse off excess salt. Fry the mince with garlic and the bitter gourd into omelet patties. Then simmer in a broth for a short while. When ready to serve, add a few drops of apple cider vinegar. The vinegar makes it "ummmh good".

I'd like to learn how to make Silver Noodles. I think it might be a Cantonese dish with clear noodles, rice pork, celery, molasses, and I don't remember what else. My grandmother, my aunt, and one of my cousins were able to make this delicious dish. They received the recipe from the Chinese family who had a restaurant in Chicago Chinatown in the early 1950s.

Hi, just moved into my own abode n saw your fried rice dishes, was interested because you present simple meals with ingredients within my means, doesn't take long to prepare n the way you present it makes it doable for people who aren't fabs of cooking Tried it with what left over vegetables, rice n bacon that I had n eggs n noodles, turned out lovely n got five servings out of that meal. I have been so blessed by your channel since discovering it! Your motto of Simple Food, Simple Faith caught my attention and my heart. I love to cook but had lost my zest for it when my husband joined Jesus 3 years ago . That was followed by what is an ongoing battle against metastatic cancer which still limits my mobility. Your ease in cooking (I don’t have time for that, easy substitutions…) encouraged me to try a few of your dishes. The nature of Asian cooking makes adapting it for one person easy.
