The Flood are defenitly in my Top 3 for my most favorite fictional pathogens. The fact that they can turn the dead bodies littered across a battlefield into undead to fight for their cause is what makes them so thrilling to fight.

What makes the flood even more interesting is their ability to self organize. Once they've blindly gathered enough biomass past a critical point, the hive wakes up, connects to the sentience of all past flood Graveminds, and begins its conquest with intentful strategy. Terrifying.

Looking at how that 1st hog got destroyed made me remember of all the times I've tried recreating a post-battle scene on that same beach. With weapons and vehicles discarded throughout the map. There's only so much a creator can do to insinuate a battle without mods or AIs and a couple of flipped vehicles. 😔

She threw a grenade and switched to a new target before the grenade even blew up her original targets. Legend. 1:39 It’s so awesome how one combat form dodges the wreckage and another braces to deflect the impact. (Only for both of them to get PUNCHED to death by a marine lolll) 2:15 That deadly flood attack. They kill one marine with the brute shots, and then fly in to slash another. Scary how the second marine tries to kick back the combat form when it gets too close, but she isn’t fast enough. 2:42 Those brutal swipes from the tank forms. 3:18 It’s so fucked up how the flood infect the marines after they’ve been killed. 5:26 That poor marine getting swarmed after he’s ejected from the Warthog. 5:44 Damn, love how the flood take the hill and use the tanks to push through the debris. 6:08 That combat form jumping over the barricade and getting right into the fight was badass.
