BOOM! This was the bomb! Rolf's definitely got game 😁! Maybe my best cover of this song I've ever heard. With the latin/salsa kind of jam and the brass section.. NICE!

Rolf is pretty good. I liked his version of Hotel California (ever time I think of the name California, I can`t help but hear it in an Arnold Schwarzenegger voice lol). I was trying to think of another band that had a saxophone solo in modern music, but the only one I could think of was Nightfall by Amorphis. It`s one of those smaller saxophones (alto sax?) so it has a higher tone than the standard sax sound, but it`s pretty cool in this song (kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6WQZWh9d6l4oZY) Cheers!

The NIght flight Orchestra use a sax in some of their songs. TGhey are decidedly going for an 80s feel to their music though and I love that!

In the video, you asked about the Rock Academy. I came upon across where I guess a sort of reunion of that first group of students, including Floor came together for some sort of Dutch tv show, I think. It's almost 52 minutes long, and the whole video is pretty interesting. Floor's part starts at 35:03.

Right, I'm going to try to explain why your videos got blocked. First of all it isn't AvroTros who decided why they only have the songs on their website and YT channel. It are the rights holder of the song when they record it. Any song played on air means you have to pay. Thus it is geo-fencing that is the problem. They are a legitimate national broadcaster, that means the song itself has a price depending on how many possible viewers they CAN reach. That rule stems from international treaties. So when the YT algorithm detected they went outside that Netherlands only area it got blocked. Even changing from yt com to yt be doesn't work. Hotel California is a case in point, they are notoriously guarding their rights. Sorry but it is what it is. Even translated makes it geo fenceable... that is the reason why they couldn't translate their own full episodes. And as a very large companies do, they tend to block worldwide. It is why vimeo hasn't blocked everything.

Thanks for the explanation. Yeah, I hate talking about "getting around" these things because I want to respect the artists and the people who make their living off of this. I just feel that, A: I'm not making money off of it and B: it's actually more like free advertising for them! I wish there was a way to find a happy medium. I don't download illegal rips of music because i feel the artists deserve their share, so I buy albums still (digital) and I subscribe to multiple music streaming services 😉

@@jman4096Again, it is just an explanation why it happened. The AvroTros never has so many views on their YT channel. All of a sudden it blew up and they were threatened by the, primarily American, publishers. Since their YT channel primed to service those living in the Netherlands they don't make any money off it. That what you get when it is a public broadcaster, their budgets do not cover those eventualities. If it were a business other rules would apply. Simply put, the show has been running for 10+ years and only now it blew up. Don't think they even had an idea how popular it became.

Always nice reactions. To clear something you named Holland and the Netherlands. Now i like you to have viewers from a lot of countries, this is not it. Holland is a part of the Netherlands. There is a North Holland and a South Holland which both are located in the west side of the Netherlands.
