Is it possible to have too much stage presence? Is it possible to have too much vocal power and expertise? I hope not. Floors stage presence and vocal expertise we're on full display in the video clip from this performance. She was dressed head to foot in black leather. She was dancing and gesturing throughout the song. At the end of the song She danced up to the other artists and proceeded to channel at full volume extreme passion and anger with her voice and body language from 3 ft away. This was Floors interpretation of the rather plaintive original song. The original artist Elif jumped up and started dancing herself.

Wow, this is really great. I am from austria and therefore the german text touches me. The original music from this song on the otherhand is too sterile and untouching regarding the emotional text. For me, floor and team arranged the music much more fitting to the sense of the text. It is so heartbreaking and desperate when a relationship breaks up. And which music style fits better than metal/rock to those emotions. Much much more touching than the arrangement from last week. Finally a song that shows again that floor jansen is an amazing singer! Respect.

I was able to track down the video for this with English subtitles. It is on Dailymotion. I have to say that the whole performance is 1,000% better than this lyric only video. She once said she probably couldn't do French rap. In this song she does German rap. So I guess we're done with what she can't do now that she sung the phone book and rap.

Now that Floor lives in Sweden and speaks Swedish fluently, it will be only a matter of time the Swedish version of SING MEINEN SONG will call her to participate. 🤩 Or because she lived in Finland (2014/2015) she could even participate in their MASKED SINGER - she can talk and sing in Finnish, so for sure she would win even this (like Marko did)! And she would NOT leave Nightwish 2 weeks later like he did... 😋

And what I thought was, that in Finland we have a similar TV program like Beste Zangers and Sing Meinen Song, it's in finnish "Vain Elämää" = "It's Life" in English: and its more about the artist tell her or his story/life and the career, and they sing other artist songs, and in the end of the one artist day She/He chose the one song that touched the most and they sing a duet of that curent version of the song. 🙂💙🇫🇮I I have thought that have they ever askd in that TV program Tarja Turunen or Annette Olzon or now Floor Jansen....? 🤔 🤘💙I think they have asked Tarja, but she said no, but I'm not sure about that. Just as Clueso interpreted an Song last Episode, She were crying all the Time, her Emphaty makes her great for Such Setups. Jap, Quality of the German Setup may be questionable, but with so much star anything shows competing in German Television, i really like this settled down Version, one Indi/hophip(:D)Duo, 2 non German Spoken, 2 expierenced Pop Singer and Songwriter, and then the 2 Young Ladies, not the Talents of the Century, but strong Personalities, liked it, how they surround Floor:) And they said it all the Time, 2 Weeks, just like an Sumer Camp, and ofc i dont trust every Harmony Blubbering they setup for us, its just an slow, i get it as an good contrast to higher more colour louder faster of the star searching whole eve events:)

I hope that the German artists are more courageous than the ones on Floors Beste Zangers episode. When they had to sing to Floor, only two chose a Nightwish song, and those were both melodic, more pop like songs. None of them had the courage to choose a metal song.

@@jotiko7642 I think that's because they just doesn't have the ability to sing those songs. Most of After Forever, Revamp and Nightwish songs aren't easy songs to sing and what I've heard so far from the other singers in Sing meinen Song, they no way are able to sing anything else than probably Elan, old version of Nemo (not the Floor version with 15 seconds high belt), I want My tears back, Amaranth and Strong. I still hope they challenges themselves and pick a bit harder song!

@@jokuku3669 I think you are right about that. Here in the Netherlands many people see metal music as a lot of loud noise. They don't realize that metal contains many genres of music and that vocalists who sing it, really have to be talented because it's hard to do. I don't want to bash pop singers but most pop singers would need a breathalyzer after 2 songs if they had to do it.

But I'm a bit confused, is there already a CD available of the German version? How's that possible? That list looks very interesting. Curious to know how Floor looks back on the interaction during SMS22 compared to "Beste Zangers 2019". I mean the before/after interaction among the participants. Floor does a magnificent job both during and before/after the songs. But somehow, BZ19 came across as more spontaneous/relaxed. I don't believe it has anything to do with Floor not being a native German speaker, since the same thing can also be seen in previous editions of "Sing meinen Song".

Love this cover! It isn't most easy to sing considering that german part rap haha, but wow, dem notes.. :) You're most amazing on that show from what we've seen, and only Elif did a great cover of your song.. others are just ridiculous, butchered, not resembling any song at all anymore.

Actually, dutch is very close to german in many aspects. Especially the vocabulary is very similar. Still, to even see her talk with the other contestants in german was a surprise. With a noticable dutch accent of course, but that's not much different than the dialect of the germans living near the dutch border, tbh. Though in this song, i could barely hear anything of that accent.
