Yo, I just literally searched for this video and it was uploaded 1h ago. wow such timing. I'd love to see your hand analysis in Flopzilla for a HeadsUp hand where you have a decision to call opponents DONK. New to utilising poker software and it is easy to be overwhelmed. I do not suppose you have any videos on the very basics of using PT4 along with Flopzilla to imrpove your game i.e. The first few type of PT4 reports you would check weekly/monthly to monitor improvement or to check obvious areas of improvement , combining HUD stats VPIP/PFR to build a range for player types and positions in flopzilla so you can understand the likelihood of having the better hand post flop etc. Thank you for the great content

Just upgraded my copy. One feature you didn't mention that I like is there is much more freedom in hand weighting and specific suit selection in preflop ranges; at first glance I can pretty much have as many weights as I desire and have freedom to select any combination of suits for individual hands--there were limitations on this in the previous versions.

Funny you say that. He actually does some of the inbuilt video guides to using PT4 features. Just click the green (?) icon next to certain features in PT4 and a video will popup. I was surprised when I heard his very distinct voice. Guess he used to work for them.

ugh, sorry to be a dunce, but i'm just starting - pg 11 of your math/preflop workbook. I plug AhAs as dead cards and KdKh as the other hand. Where does it show the equity of each? On the pie chart I'm getting 89/10, not 82/18 as shown in the answer key. Am I missing something?

No worries. The pie chart isn't showing equity breakdowns, but rather is based upon the filters selected in the center of the UI. The equity number you are looking for is under the deadcards section and it shows the equity of the dead hand (in your example, AA).

thanks for video James. couple questions, at this point would you get CREV3 or GTO+ to go along with flopzilla if you were a relative beginner to using solvers in your study?? and second how do register the pro version if you've already purchased?? Again thanks for all you do!!

Both CREV & GTO+ are pretty complex, but I would personally prioritize GTO+. As for upgrading to Fz Pro, I think you just download it, open it, go to Register, and then enter your hardware ID here: www.flopzilla.com/requestkey.html

Both programs (Flopzilla and FlopzillaPro) store their ranges in /config/newdefs3.txt. To transfer your ranges, simply copy that file.

This clip prompted me to get the BETA... I'd seen it on the FZ page but never clicked, but whoah, FZP is excellent. Thanks for the heads up! One question though - say you're working through a 3player scenario and one of them folds say on the turn. Do you delete their range or just click the wifi button? And what does "having the software ignoring their range" actually mean? If you put them on an exact hand, does FPZ still take into account their card removal effect or do you have to add it to the dead cards once you turn off their range?

You're very welcome Rob! In the 3player example, assuming you plugin in 3 ranges (instead of 2 ranges+hero's hand as dead cards) you should click the wifi button and ignore the folding player's range. Once ignored, the software doesn't factor in their range when doing equity calculations. You would never know their exact hand, but if you somehow did, you could put those cards in the dead cards, yup!
