Brilliant! Never knew of this dish. Do we eat it as it is or is it like a topping? Its amazing how many different dishes are there in India! Pls also share a foolproof marzipan recipe.

Hi Roshni!🤗 Yes, it is to be eaten as it is. It’s a popular Goan Sweet made during Christmas season. But now that you mention it, it would be so creative to use it as toppings on cakes or sweet breads! Once, my daughter tried making gons, but unfortunately mistimed the steps, and the whole mixture set before she could transfer them to the paper liners. It turned into a firm lump; we then broke it down with a spatula and ended up with individual pieces of coconut coated in sugar. Looking back, they could have served as dessert topping 😄
