I am an artist living and working in France. I learned the techniques of the Atelier of the Nineteenth century and now I try to share some of my knowledge with the rest of the world, because I think that beauty still has an important role to play in artistic creation. Hi, Florent, I see some Royal Talens "Van Gogh" oil paint in your bin. Have you ever experienced "white mist" on the surface / "efflorescence" in any of your older paintings (5 to 10+ years) made with Talens' "Van Gogh" oils ? Would you ever use a color from "Van Gogh" for professional work? Or do you only use it for studies? Theirs is the only red (Permanent Red with PR254) I can find right now, in my country, that isn't fugitive, so I am hoping that this line of paints is good enough for professional, commissioned work. Thank you for any insight you may have regarding this!

Only for studies, actually only bought these tubes while doing my color samples for my course because they're cheaper. never had this problem. Tell me in detail what you experienced with this efflorescence, always good to know for later reference.

Look in to freezer method. Im not sure on details and for how longe Etc. I just do it for several days when in middle of project

You should be an inspiration to all you tuber “art” people. Watching you over the years I’ve watched you grow, especially as an English speaker. On the reds, I have a tendency to use terra Rosa. I try to incorporate vermillion but it is so strong and hard to control. Also a little orange but a wonderful color.

Thank you very much. I'm stepping away more and more from vermillion these days, I use yellow and magenta if needed.
