Omg, I'm a palm addict from the UK growing over 60 palms mostly hardy, and half of them Trachycarpus but I do grow some semi tropical palms including Bismarkia Noblis and Dypsis Decaryi. Da bin ich sehr neidisch auf deinen Garten. Hier in Deutschland ist es leider im Winter zu kalt für die meisten Palmen bis auf ein paar Ausnahmen mit Winterschutz...schuldige das ich in Deutsch schreibe aber mein Englisch ist so schlecht

I’ve just planted a frost hardy Fortunei and Humilis in the garden here in Scotland opposite south facing white summerhouse in sandy gravel filled soil, beside the coast, they should take well
