Today I was in Miami Florida and went to the Neighborhood Fish Farm! Check out this Outside Local Fish Store! This LFS uses concrete ponds to hold all kinds of freshwater fish! Stay tuned for an interview with an employee and bloopers!

It's actually looking much better. This fish farm got destroyed during the hurricane. A few months before the storm, the had a fire in the main house. It has been catastrophic for them and I'm glad they are still up and running; they can't be stopped! Support them anyway you can.

I was just there with my aunt over Christmas break! I think they had a fire around hurricane season which is why it looks the way it does. I’ve been going there for ten years!

That place looks like it was set up just as a fish farm but they went another rout with it after a while. They may still operate as a farm but is seems as though they use most of the tanks for retail rather than breeding/grow-out. (The way I was taught) In the past and today in some farms Brood fish or breeders would be kept in either a smaller tank in a building or one of the corner ponds of a group of the Rectangle ponds. After the fish would spawn they would move the fry into the next available pond. When ever a group of ponds was at capacity They would than move what ever the largest batch of fish by size to one of the Large square ponds. Not every farm works like this but it has always been an affective way to farm just about anything in water Fish/Inverts/plants. Very nice place Thanks for the visit and share!

This was great, I have been researching "shrimp tank starter kit" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Eenva Harrowing Eradicator - (should be on google have a look ) ? Hey Micheal, you can take them home with you on the plane. It has to go well boxed in the luggage compartment. I actually got a baby red tail catfish from this farm back to Canada. You declare it when you land and they let you keep it if you have a receipt that shows that the fish was not caught in the wild and is not an endangered species.p.s: Box was never opened by Border Agent since it had my receipt pasted on the box. And yes the fish survived the trip just fine!

Hey what are you doing at my fish store,you came when they're real low on fish I go there every other week this is were I get my fish,they usually have way more different types of guppies& some Metalic Blue Females guppies they are more $ though there's way more swordtails too. They don't order fish in the winter that much.Next time you are in Miami let me know and I'll meet you there I'm great friends with them.Fish are usually healthy there.Cool.

You are wondering about the water change system call Olive it's completely fed by well water they just pumping in out of the well constantly it's dripping and it changes the water all day long. Pretty cool and maintenance-free this fish store is about 30 minutes from me and I visited about every other month. They're stocking Spectacular from goldfish to koi to Guppies to various cichlids to a whole bunch of different Tetras. One of the better fish stores around. You could walk around for hours it's so big. They're actually in a rebuild mode since they had a fire on the main building and then the hurricane hit and they've had a lot of Destruction here in the last year. Give him about another 6 months to a year and I'm sure they'll have everything rebuilt that's why it look like a junkyard when you walked in.

You need a gopro in a waterproof case you can stick down into the tanks. BTW I will be honest, I clicked because of the cute chick in the thumbnail... yep the clickbait worked. Gourami... Gur-ah-mi. Wouldn't American Cichlids be Bluegills and pumpkinseeds and whatnot? Those green lizards are green anoles they also have brown ones and big ones called cuban knight anoles too. (pronounced uh-nole-ay)

If you speak proper english as we Canadians do, it is pronounced with a slight "u":) No one says GOrami. Our language has u's for a reason. They help us know the difference between an o sound and an ou sound.
