Both awesome speakers! I actually think the Stormbox Pro matches up better against the JBL Charge series. Bass is definitely better with JBL, but as far as clarity and max volume, the Stormbox Pro is right there!

One thing I'd like to point out, is a speaker needs to "break in" before sound is optimized and I can attest to this because I just purchased 2 Stormbox pros and after 30+ hrs the sound signature improved vastly including bass response! Just sayin! Great content, Floss! Reg viewer!!

Watched this 📹 with some AKG 🎧 and I could hear the difference. Tribit definitely has a clear and louder sound. JBL bass 🔊 is more crisp.

The JBL for sure has clearer sound for the hats and claps, much crisper sound. I like the JBL personally. Great review. Yeah now, I agree one song sounded better on the jbl and the second sounded better on the other. Pretty good match. Hard choice, I would have to hear in person, but bang for the buck is a good rule of thumb.

I love to see Shoes lurking quietly at the edge of the frame, passing through now and then, thoroughly inspecting the goods. Floss, I love your reviews but if I'm brutally honest, half the draw is your cat :D I have the Tribit X Sound in my kitchen to pair with a crappy old (kitchen worthy) tablet that has the worst speakers known to man, and it sounds quite good for what it is. After a few years of that, I'm considering an upgrade to this puppy since it's on sale for 89 euros. Though since you mention it, the minis in stereo would be pretty fab, too! Frankly I'm amazed at the sound quality of these relatively tiny things. Yeah the bass can be lacking but come on - in this footprint you have to set your expectations accordingly. A reasonably good sub for a real stereo system requires a 10-12 inch woofer - getting ANY bass out of these minis is a freaking miracle of engineering!

Tribit has x bass bt JBL too has a feature called low frequency mode n you forgot to turn it on to turn it on press the Bluetooth button n volume down button for few seconds untill the lights r turned off n on again

That’s not a mode, that’s for troubleshooting the speaker and will 100% damage the speaker and void the factory warranty.

do you use it every day? I bought 1 as soon as it came out and the charging system was damaged, I asked for the warranty, they sent me another one and after 1 month I have problems with the battery also like the first and then worse than the first one stopped being heard. they are crap

The problem with using synthesized music for testing is the engineered quality of the sound... an acoustic instrument would offer a better platform to compare because we "know" what it sounds like... or human voice (without a lot of post processing).

I’ve been searching and searching for a long tome to find a Bluetooth speaker around $130 that puts out amazing sound. Especially deep bass. I’ve been look at the Tribite Stormbox Pro, Tronsmart Mega Pro, xbodo X8 Pro, Doss Soundbox XL, Bose SoundLink 2 or 3(used). Now out of all of them the Tronsmart T6 Max is very impressive speaker. That’s one I would check out and put it up against a JBL

2 years past, it is now $100 in Amazon. Definitely, this will be my next BT Speaker after having Bose Microsound Link and JBL Go. I wanted the Bose Revolve but the price is just GDH .

I have both speakers. In a nutshell JBL flip 5: better solid bass, smaller form factor but tends to have volume control glitch, volume will auto decrease for no reason, reliability issues. Their older flip models seems more reliable. Tribit: bass not as gd as JBL (xbass sounds artificial compared to JBL), but clearer treble. Nice carrying handle. So far can’t comment on its reliability. Overall, I would choose the tribit over the JBL because bass difference is not really significant but the volume auto decrease issue on the JBL can be frustrating and need to hard reset.

Tribit micro vs tribit large one? How much is difference in sound? I couldnt quite differentiate over phone. Looking for clear sound, clear voice in song, not muffeled. I dont care about loudnes.

This is not a fair comparison as this Tribit is designed to go up against the Charge at 40W but the Charge wins despite being Mono, forget 360° sound! The Flip 6 is smaller, in size and sound. The Tribit XSound Plus competes with it at 30W but again, loses. Tribit is good value for money though!
