I have the maxsound plus/ thunderbox version, i has a soundbar effect to it, when you use it, while the stormbox is more of a 2.1 set up good for music for a bigger room and you are a bit far away to it, to feel the surround sound, the maxsound is good when you're near.

Go for Essential 2 if you prefer more loudness and clarity. Tribit will sound low but bass is pretty punchy.

Just buy tribit strombox. If u listen to jbl flip essential the sound is so crispy and it hurts our ear. Can't ear from near. Too much treble . Tribit is 360 degree sound and the bass is very deep much better sound quality. Tribit Battery 5 hours in full volume...

Both are equally good. If your preference is more with loudness then go with JBL. Tribit is not as loud as JBL but stormbox delivers well balanced 360 surround sound. Both have equal bass. I would personally pick Tribit as it is good for both watching movies and listening music. JBL is definitely a party guy.

Harman Kardon can have an overpowering bass so if bass is the preference then Harman/Kardon else Marshal. Talking about sound quality, both produce rock solid sound clarity but Marshal feels slightly better in terms of richness and clarity ( Although difference is not that noticeable). Price wise as well I feel Marshal delivers better
