Hey Dale. Pick yourself up a WonderMill and a tub of wheat berries. Hard. Soft. Red or White. Or whatever grain you wish for your bread. I waited and picked up a new used one on Craigslist (due to budget constraints) and order berries from Amazon. You'll never go back to store bought flours when you grind and then fresh into the mixing bowl. Happy baking.🍞

Thank you Susan. I should video Angel at Christmas she is more excited than any child. The gifts have been out for a week and she sniffs them every day but wouldn't think of touching them. My Sister in Ontario and I FaceTime Christmas Eve and open out gifts together . As soon as we start she tears into hers and then helps me with mine.

@@DaleCalderCampobello That is so awesome Dale. One other channel I follow is Gone to the snow dogs vlogs youtube. Jessica and Jamie Hatch live in Alpena, Michigan off of Lake Superior. There channel is life with their Siberian Huskies, currently 2, Memphis and Kira both females. They share their Christmas with their audience especially opening all the presents for the dogs. Your comment about Angel being like a little child is just what we see with the snow dogs too. It is so so so much fun to watch them tear open their packages and pure joy they have eating or playing with the opened gifts !😄😄😄 Hope you are enjoying boxing day. I think it started as the gentry so to speak giving boxes-(presents we call them) to their servants. That is what I deduced from reading English literature. I might not have gotten the full meaning. Maybe Dale can enlighten us if he sees this, or some other Brit-Canadian in the know. lol Or there's always Google ;-)

Those look lovely. I find that whenever I put the oven on to bake bread the waistband of my trousers shrinks. There's bound to be a scientist who has written a paper on this phenomenon. Anyway, have you ever made Jeff Heriot's LSA (linseed, sunflower, almond) baps? They are a big favourite in this house and freeze well but seldom survive long enough for that to happen. Here's the video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3Xbm2SAoc59q9E (LSA - I mix equal parts linseeds, crushed almonds and sunflower seeds and grind them in a blender until coarse but not dust, I like the little bites in the bread) I hope you had a lovely Christmas despite restrictions, Brendan.

Those sound so good Brendan. Had a good Christmas mild , windy and wet here drove 2.5 hours to my Sister in-laws for a visit and dinner one of my nieces and her family were there so had a good visit. Right now we are very fortunate in this area the virus has been knocked down again. In Ontario the whole province goes on lock down again starting today.
@baconsoda4 жыл бұрын
It's good to hear you had a lovely day. Weather here is cool but turning sleety tonight. N. Ireland is on strict lockdown for 6 weeks starting today. We did really well with Covid because, at the start, we wore masks and did distancing etc but we are in trouble now so we have to do it again. This time people may not be so compliant but we'll see. We have our sceptics but, mostly, there is compliance... there's little else we can do because the increase in people moving about has seen an increase in cases. It's hard to believe it's almost a year since I met my relatives and friends and it might be nearly another year until I do.
