Love, love the desert scenery! Maybe I'm biased cuz I'm from AZ 🌞That Mexican restaurant looked like a BIG score! The guac looked amazing! I love fresh Mexican food! But Cody, you lost me at cow tongue on a street taco, YUCK!! And Kelly, the Ocotillo is pronounced O-KO-Tee-YO 😊 It's probably my favorite desert place. In the spring they are green with red blooms at the ends! IT's just gorgeous! That's my favorite time of year in the desert - spring time! That's when the desert blooms 😊 Yikes! Tarantula! Be careful Cody, they can jump! And scorpions are plentiful, the baby scorpions carry more venom, so be careful! Also, there are rattlers and coyotes and mountain lions, so just be aware of them and be careful! In conclusion, I love, love the music in the background. It's perfect! Thanks for sharing.

It is truly inspiring to see the van life from many perspectives. You bring a really nice unique view of it and the experience as well. I have been thinking about getting my own van for a long time, but always get sucked into convincing myself not to do it, even internally I know it is the right thing to do. Watching your videos might be the thing that pushes me over the line to gain the confidence to make that leap. Thank you and keep creating :)

I've never mountain biked before, but you made it look like a lot of fun! It was fun to "come along" on an activity that I don't do myself and in an environment that is not as familiar to me. That's what's fun about youtube...we can have an inside look at what other people enjoy doing and the places and people that they enjoy visiting. Thanks for sharing what you enjoy with us!! We are all richer for it!

Thanks for posting! I learned fairly early in my life that if you don’t want to bed down with a bunch of critters, ZIP UP THE DOOR! Haha As a child I had an aversion to spiders and ticks. (I still do). My family decided to do a multigenerational camping trip at the Piney Bay campground. We arrived right before dark and the first thing my Aunt announced was that she found a tick on her neck. Well, great! I did not sleep well that night nor did I have a good day the next day. There was an infestation (according to my memories) of granddaddy long legs. Before I would enter the tent later that day, I insisted that my mom debug it. I slept right through that night because I was exhausted from no sleep and being hyper alert all day. We all got on each other’s nerves and the adults decided that the fun should stop a day early. Lol

Getting ready to head to Big Bend in April and already have a reservation there at Rancho Tapanga based on some of your previous videos. Kelly, thanks for the little grounds tour, most helpful. I think I will ask Guy if we can get that site up on the hill. When I was talking to him on the phone, I told him I found out about his place through one of your videos and he said that you guys had just left that day. So I pretty much knew where you were going to be for this video. So looking forward to this April trip to Big Bend. -Cheers

I came across a tarantula movement or run in Central Cally once. Thousands of Tarantulas all moving at once. Possibly there were millions of them. You could not help but run them over trying to get the hell out of there. I ha e since heard about this from other people but never really studied or read up on it.

Enjoyed the video, beautiful country. You mentioned scorpions, I have been bite twice by one. The pain is terrible and lasts awhile. Oncexwascwhen we moved into our new home 50 years ago and then one got me when I reached to pick up my ironing board. We started having our house spray every 3 months and never see anything. Have fun and be careful. God Bless.

That really is a nice area. I like having more vegetation. The ocotillo cactus is my favorite! The blooms are red- orange and cover almost the entire branch. It's pronounced O-ko-tee-yo. Two L's together in Spanish are pronounced with a Y sound. What I wondered about mountain biking in the desert is - have you ever startled wildlife? Rattlers, javalina? I guess you all would be startled! Great drone photography as usual Cody!

Beautiful video, and I always salivate when you show the cooking and meal for the day 😂 BTW, I went to the campground website. A bit out of our budget when the cost is $20 per person per night Ouch! A family of 4-5 would cost upwards of $100 a day 😮 Camping used to fit nicely for families on a modest hourly wage, its become the activity of the middle class and I can see it becoming the vacation for the wealthy in the not too distant future ☹️ We used to camp in our 20’s in early to mid 1980’s and any State Park and National Park was $8-$10, private campgrounds were $20+ we were looking forward to retiring and having great low cost vacations when we retired, its slowly evaporating. State Parks and National parks are $35-$160 per night private campgrounds are getting silly with prices as much as $300+ per night and they are full! 😂 I missed the boat to getting rich I guess 😢
