Nobody likes Pacquiao because he takes punishment during a win, they like him because he dishes it out...nobody disliked Ali because he didn't take punishment, they like him because he gave it out...same goes for Leonard. Cotto only got the win in his rematch with Margarito because the orbital bone smashed by Pac flared up again. It wasn't Pac's fault that De La Hoya mistimed his re-hydration. Floyd doesn't mention that Marquez had to gain 12 pounds to fight him which still fell 2lbs short of the agreed to weight which Floyd overshot by 2 lbs and came in four pounds heavier than him at the weigh in....probably re-hydrating up to 157 or more while Marquez would've been lucky to get up to 145. Cotto fought at the welterweight limit of 140 - 147 pounds when he faced Pacquiao. In his most recent match prior to taking on “Pacman”, Cotto entered the ring at 146 pounds against Joshua Clottey. Floyd wanted to bill Cotto as an unbeaten fighter but this was far from the truth...Pac was faster and hit harder. Then he went on to say that Pac must be on something because he "walked through Cotto" and knocked down Mosley when Cotto couldn't...well, which was it....drugs or weight draining or neither and you're just covering your ass and your boring style of 'hardly ever hit and don't get hit'. Floyd could have turned pro at 16 but was wisely not turned and lost 5 fights as an amateur in the same age period 16 to 19 that Pacquiao lost only 2 as a pro....doesn't mention that here though. What's easier, facing other amateurs your own age when you're a teenager or seasoned pros? Pac's second loss was at the age of 19 in a lineal title defence against a seasoned pro. That's right, Pac was Lineal and WBC Flyweight world champion in December 1998 at the age of 19. Floyd won the Lineal and WBC feather weight titles in October 1998 at the age of 21. Their PPV figures were similar until Mayweather fought De Na Hoya....whom he got to before Pac because he made the weight class before Pac did...even then he only shaded De La Hoya who looked like he'd just come out of a hairdressing salon after being shampooed and said,"Well, I thought I won". Morales fought like never before and decisioned Pac in their first fight at the age of 31, but according to Floyd he was washed up from fighting Barrera or was he washed up 8 months later (still aged 31) on some kinda delayed reaction which enabled Pac to KO him in the 10th. Barrera was 29 and still knocking most people out when Pac first fought and stopped him....but he was more washed up then than four years later at the age of 33 when Pac only managed to decision him....that's sarcasm by the way. Genaro Hernández whom Floyd won his Lineal and WBC Super Featherweight titles from was 32 yrs of age had fought four 12 round fights (two of which were split decisions) and a 10 round fight in the space of a year and a half...had his ass handed to him by De La Hoya in 1995 but was as fresh as a daisy apparently. As was Gatti after his three back to back wars with Mickey Ward. De La Hoya........his cash cow and piggy back to the big money was 34, beaten twice by Mosley, KO'd by Hopkins and had slipped out of the game for nearly two years but because he had come back to beat a no defence brawler like Mayorga....he was suddenly a fighter with a rejuvenated career according to Floyd! Listening to this man berate anyone else's achievements and inflate his own makes me sick....so I try to set things straight....which is pathetic in itself....sorry!
