I freakin LOVED being a mage in DAO, i wore medium dwarven silverite armor most of the time until the final battle where i wore massive armor, wielded one-handed Starfang with no shield, all while blasting magic at my enemies. I was VERY disappointed in DA2 and DAI when weapons were restricted, and Blade of Tidarion felt like a tease.

arcane warrior?, nice!, i liked and used this specialization in DA:O, mage-tank:)

I used Knight Enchanter in my game because it gives more special dialogue for the companion characters. Iron Bull, Solas, Vivienne, Sera and Leliana have special comments about that specialization.

@@CamSiv996 . Yeah, same for Solas. And instead Necromancer also has dialogue with Dorian and Cassandra, so technically is the same. Only Rift Mage has less (seems so).

I make mine an Elf with that Specialization. It suits back from DA:O's Arcane Warrior, even the equipment isn't the same but that's what the imagination of the schematics are for. The one with the Plate Chest makes you look like a warrior with a staff.

@@CamSiv996 . You can use silverite to avoid class restrictions to give your mage a heavy armor if you want.
@mjtechnoviking443 жыл бұрын
Late to the party here but as knight enchanter you can solo dragons. Your recovery and armor or shields I forget which on hit combined with high dps means they literally never do damage to you if you keep hitting them.
@gzapray7203 Жыл бұрын
I hope you did. With proper equipment and build, your KE will be next to Blackwall to the indestructible department. You can actually solo dragons with your KE alone.

Arcane Warrior sounded so much more badass than Knight Enchanter, I dont know why they changed that specn name since Origins

Because technically is not the same one, but a variation inspired from it.

@Jeymez Жыл бұрын
@@ronelz999 and we also learn in Origins the Spirit that had the Arcane Warrior knowledge was elven, but it said they were the last. they changed the name to Knight Enchanter because one of the writers apparently is not a fan of elves, i don't know if it's one of the higher ups, people blame EA for alot of things, but they don't actually make the game. they only give Bioware the material to do what they want to do with there game, the only influence on EA's part is how massive the game world is and the endless amount of filler. that's definitely EA, but Bioware writes the story, so it's one of there writers. Bioware has had disagreements with several writers even going back to Origins, Dragon Age 2 came out the way it did originally because of disagreements. some people think Bioware got too cocky and greedy after the massive success of Mass Effect and if you go back further to Kotor and Jade Empire, although that last one while that was a good game in it's own right, it didn't sell anywhere close to Kotors numbers or even Mass Efrect. that's what EA's original interest at the time was, Dragon Age was a game Bioware had to go out to higher people that had more familiarity with D&D lore, and that in a sense was how Dragon Age was born. the name itself has a medieval vibe about it, the only problem was the original writer for Dragon Age hadn't intended on making a sequel, but others in the company didn't like everything about origins. so the people that worked on Mass Effect took over the Dragon Age project to work on DA2, and that explains why Hawke could only be played as a human, because just like in Mass Effect you can't be anything other than human. now in fairness to Mass Effect that's a different kinda game, it is an rpg but it's much more linear in it's approach. in DA2 for example you'll noticed how small of an area everywhere you go is, in Inquisition it's massive just by rpg standards. typically games with a deep complex story aren't known for being a true open world experience, but in Inquisition you get a bit of both. you have a main plot, but i would argue there's more side content than the entire main story combined unless you count all the extra dlc.

In the multiplayer game there is a playable elf named Cillian whose class is specified as Arcane Warrior. They have the same spectral blade but idk if they have the same exact skillset as KE
@mayaamis4 ай бұрын
@@ravensep I know I play MP all the time.. and yes majority of his skills are the same as the ones that knight enchanter has in SP. he also has a stone fist, veilstrike and pull of abyss which are spells from rift mage in SP. so he's kind of a cool combination of knight enchanter and rift mage. :)

HugBunnies you need to be a Mage and go for the Knight Enchanter specialisation to get this dialogue. Not sure when Solas brings it up though, it could be in the very next conversation you have with him after completing the specific specialisation quest, but I can’t remember exactly. You get the optional elven response that the Inquisitor uses at the end of this clip, only if you’re an elf (obviously)
