Since one of those categories was overall GOTY, it also got some extra clips and Pedro making that part of the medley legendary like it deserves to be. From the perspective of the show as a whole - saying nothing more than the title of any game that didn’t win a category - it’s not surprising, but it should be understandable that it feels like a favourite game for some was barely acknowledged when that’s all it gets.

I saw him once when I went to Fox studios to see how they recorded the music for Rio. Crazy talented musician. He makes his own flutes and knows how to play a bunch of them.

If anybody is interested, look up Pedro Eustache's performances with the Game of Thrones orchestra tour that happened a few years ago. I saw him play a bunch of crazy instruments live going to one of those events, including this 14-foot long horn thing that shook my whole body when he blew in it. It was so awesome, and I was so excited to see this guy randomly show up again at the Game Awards. It's so uplifting to watch somebody as they do *exactly* what it is they are most passionate about and to do it well.

Nintendo didn't send the Game Awards judges any review copies of Xenoblade 3 in time for the judges to be able to actually play it and evaluate it. They got in contact with some of the judges as late as five days after the deadlines for their votes to be submitted. Don't ask me how I know.
