Fly fishing for Salmon River Ayr 31 7 23

Avery wet day that day. Water wasnt bad. Wee bit too cloudy. Had a close encounter with a Cormorant.

Glad you like the videos. I know during lockdown I couldnt get out in the winter either very much. It kept me sane watching peoples fishing videos and that is what kind of inspired me to make my channel. Be nice to actually start catching sum fish but you cant rely on that I suppose. did nearly get a Cormorant but that was bit too close for comfort

Yes Grumpy thing. Im not a fan as they have stripped the river of lots of fish recently. Also some of the better trout I have caught had scars on them from where the Cormorants have tried to get them and they got away. I like all nature but those birds are a menace and to numberous these days. They are effecting the number of fish you can catch. There was alot more bigger trout last year that I think have disapeared down a Comorant gullet this season
