Well done, expertly fought, superbly landed, this is how Salmon fishing should be done. A pleasure to watch. Cheers, Alan.

Beautiful Cameron! Love the interaction with the dogs who are as much part of the action as the fishermen. Both well released and will be back to fight another day! Cheers, Mike

Many thanks for your kind words Mike, very much appreciated. The dogs belong to one of the anglers and the owner was in kinks of laughter as he watched them running off with me to help me land the salmon. They know the score and it’s great to have them around when there’s a bit of action. Great craic!

Great video. Cast in opening sequence was pretty
@CameronChapman Жыл бұрын
Many thanks for your kind words Peter, they are much appreciated. The angler in this video enjoys considerable success wherever he fishes, for he has learned to cast well and he always covers the water. The rest, they say, is up to the fish!

What a pair of salmon. the second one was fantastic, not a scale out of place. Well done Ian and I keep saying this, well netted Cameron.
@CameronChapman Жыл бұрын
Many thanks for your kindness Brian, I couldn’t agree more about the quality of the fish, the 18lber was simply perfect and straight from the sea. Whilst I’d love to take credit for the netting of the fish, it really is the angler who does all the hard work and then pulls the fish over the rim of the net. Thanks once again for your kind words.

The videos are great, love seeing the really clear underwater releases you film. So often drive past on way to Inverness from the west, always sneak a very quick look to see if anyone is fishing 😆 What a pair of amazing looking fish, congratulations.

Many thanks for your kind words, I really appreciate them. We’re very fortunate to have such clear water in the Ness, that’s what makes the underwater shots possible in the first place and the sun really helps to illuminate the fish as they swim away. Next time you’re passing the Weir, give us a toot on the horn but be aware of upsetting cyclists, pedestrians, motorcyclists breaking the sound barrier and camper vans breaking the lowest speed ever record 😂

Hi gents lovely fish and great clips, one question what’s the boats in the background all about ….? 🐟👍
@CameronChapman11 ай бұрын
Hi James, many thanks for your kind words. The boats in the background are not on the river, they are travelling along the Caledonian Canal. Completed in 1822, it connects the east coast of Scotland to the west coast. 👍🏻

What stunning fish. Think that 2nd one was a bit bigger than a grilse 😅.

Many thanks for your kind words Toby, I couldn’t agree more, I think scale analysis will confirm that the 18lber was not a grilse 😀

Amazing! What leader thickness did you use for getting those?! Thanks!

The leader used was Maxima and the breaking strength was 15lb, I hope that helps.
