Honestly, having 3-on-3 OTs in NHL is one of the best decisions ever made in history of everything. It's so intense and fun to watch, even though it's a bit of a lottery. I would say it's 50% goalie skills, 20% players' skills and 30% luck. More work for goalies than for the whole 60-minute game lol. Love it!

Was there up in the stands! the crowed was nuts, goodtimes! this was my first NHL game! ended up being the first 3 on 3 OT game in the NHL Garrison signed my bolts flag after the game! Will never forget that night such an amazing experience

+DAProductions Haha I was pissed. I was at the game, all 20,000 people had the "refs you suck" chant going for a solid two minutes. A questionable call for sure. The more I think about it the happier I was with a penalty shot. For how bad the refs were in that game it wouldnt have surpprised me if they just called the PP. Bishop all day.

I don't play hockey so there's something I don't quite understand I hope somebody can explain to me. What I don't get is how the NHL can simultaneously be against a bigger ice surface because it doesn't increase goal scoring but then want 3-on-3 because it increases goal scoring. I understand that there's also a financial dis-incentive to increasing the width of the ice but that isn't the NHL's main argument against it. I know increasing the ice for 5-on-5 is not *exactly* the same as reducing the number of players for a regular rink, but don't they both increase the amount of ice surface *per* player? If it's so exciting, why not have 3-on-3 (or 4-on-4) all the time?
