Fantastic video Jayden. The filming and editing are top-notch. It's great to see a glimpse of Brussels Airport and their lounges, (or lack of the BA lounge). I've never been there myself, but it's so close to home! I liked that you stated the date of this trip too. I appreciate how the BA pilot prioritized punctuality, even on a short flight. It shows that every journey, no matter the distance, is valued. The extra bed in your hotel room would likely be referred to as a 'sofa bed' (in the US), but a "rollaway bed' could be the same thing. The view from your room is phenomenal. How did you get any sleep? I'd want to watch the planes all night!

Ah yes sofa bed was actually the world I was looking for haha. I think sofa bed literally comes from a sofa whereas a rollaway bed is a proper mattress (and frame) that the staff brings into your room Unfortunately with LHR’s curfew, the Emirates A380 was one of the last planes on the runway that night

Nice one Jayden! British Airways have the NEO A320/21s and economy, the seats are thin and uncomfortable after flying for more than an hour. The CEOs have the same comfortable seat as you sat in throughout. Fly quite regularly with them and usually have no issues. Good flight times and often fares in economy are decent. Look forward to the next report 🙌

BA is ok, but Virgin is still my favorite British carrier. For this distance, I think a high speed train trip might be better, if the time difference isn't too great (factoring in check-in, waiting time at airport).

I was actually hoping to take a train, I started in Antwerp so I had to catch a train to Brussels Airport anyway, but the Eurostar was too expensive

You are lucky. I took a flight to Helsinki in Brussel in July too, but I faced very long queue in both immigration and Security Checking. It took me over an hour on top of check-in for Finnair.

Well well, a very short but sweet flight indeed. Half the flight time of a SFO to LAX flight in California. Your seat had an outdoor patio but no way to access it. Loud and clear announcements I have never had, the few times I've flown. They deserve your acknowledgment. Like the 18 to 20 year old plane you were on, you look very well maintained. 😊 I espied an SST parked at London airport. Cheers JWo.

Sydney to London is too far for aeroplanes to fly non-stop.

Note that a direct flight is one which can have a stop en route. As Jayden says currently LON-SYD is too far for non-stop.
