Aaah, QUEEN of the SKY! Love that...cannot wait to see Gemma fly. Good call to be safe - it will make the 1st flight so much more rewarding. And congrats on the PPG progress Andre.

So much easier with the motor switched on :) Once the gliders above the thrust line then the thrust is like someone pushing you from behind helping you to get some speed into the wing :) With the motor pushing and wing taking abit of the weight off you makes it so much easier to run 👍 Also dont worry about leaning forward on the initial pull just stand up straighter as you pick up speed :) Another great video guys 👌

Congratulations Andre on your PPG rating. Looking forward to seeing Gemma ( Queen of the sky ) fly. Taking small steps and knowing her learning style ... wise beyond her years. Thumbs up

Enjoying your videos ;) I didn’t realise (when I joined you on the second week there), that I’d been watching your channel for months! ... and that you were such KZbin celebrities. Looking forward to more. J

My first motor was a V3, still holds a special place in my heart and I feel a sense of kinship with those I see flying em. I can imagine Parajet has a huge market share in the UK. Kind of miss it on occasion, may pick up a maverick as a second motor eventually.

I don't like running so much with 0 wind, so as soon as I have the glider on top of my head I throttle up so it helps pushing me and this way I don't run so much. And if wind starts to show up then its best to reverse launch. It's much easyer and much more if you are used to reverse launch on free flight. I would have liked to see Gemma fly. She has enough level to go for it ;) Next step trike!

Congratulations Andre.! Once you gain that agressive run full throttle into it nature of it it's all history. You gonna wanna do some wing overs and Sats .

Good job Andre. Gemma I was very cautious too and kited for a long time before finally going up. I had to actually retrain my muscle memory NOT to turn and kill the wing after running about 100ft lol. After your first launch it gets much easier. I still play out my launch sequence in my head before every launch...I’ve been flying 3 yrs. chest out...A’s forward...let go of A’s...slight brake to stop overshooting...stay under wing...lean back...add power smoothly...slight brake pressure as you get to speed...hands back up gently...get in seat (without hitting kill switch). It’s a lot to remember!!! Really curious to hear your post training thoughts on what pros and cons you feel are with PPG vs Free Flight is. Looking forward to the next one.

Its just a simple meter lever adjustment on the wG8 carb and the issue will be gone. Check out the write up at southwestern air sports by Had Robinson. www.southwestairsports.com/ppgtechinfo/top80/hrservicenotes/walbrowg8/ml_height-variations.htm

Well done I have throughly enjoyed watching this PPG journey. As I’m sure you will be aware there is more than just one technique some you will discover yourself and some will be imparted from others. Can I suggest a technique for nil wind forward launches. If you give the throttle a 20% squeeze as you bring the wing up you will find it much easier to push forward and keep your back in the correct posture, then you can do a quick visual before applying full throttle and committing to take off. Work smarter not harder 😂
@AndreBandarra15 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’ve seen that technique done before in videos. When we have our own motors will defo try it :)

has a paraglider pilot you are, remember do NOT buy the line of shit most paramotor schools put out, that your wing cant flies in thermals, to ride them, the same wing, why not!! so anyone tells you over there in that sport (paramotoring) that you cant fly in thermals or mid-day, correct the whanner, for they no jack about running a wing or paraglider and are just repeating shit like a parrot from an untrained instructor?? most don't know even how to paraglide?? forwarned is forearmed!! better yet show them how to fly a thermal and have them...quit lying!! about thermals.
