The A220 is a wildly underrated aircraft.
@Secretlyanothername8 ай бұрын
I can't wait for them to transform Qantas route map and replace some of the older 320s as well as the 717s
@iain88378 ай бұрын
Wildly underrated? In what way? They have been around for 7 years, had many problems for many years, sometimes ending up in being grounded. Swiss limited cruising flights to FL280 for a long time. Recently things have been back to normal though.
@ytlurker2208 ай бұрын
@@iain8837 all of the problems are related to the Pratt & Whitney engines since they're new geared turbofans. The A320neo shares some of those problems.
@madaboutsnooker1478 ай бұрын
tbh its overrated. Sexiest in the sky i'll give that. For me the 747 and this, are probably the most esthetically pleasing pax planes ive ever seen. But the engine vibration if sat over the wing, and infront, is absolutely horrid in certain places. It phases in and out audibly, and so does the vibration. It just doesnt fly nice if thats your preferred area on the place. I was bitterly disappointed. hope the advanced 220 will address this issue.
@cityplanner30638 ай бұрын
@@madaboutsnooker147compare narrow bodies to narrow bodies. Not wide bodies. At the end of the day I think people over rate this aircraft bc it’s suppose to be a regional aircraft but can do more.

I used to work for Alliance Airlines. Like most regional operators they are replacing their aging fleet but with also aging Embraer 😂 Problem is regional operators like Alliance loved the high fuselage mounted engines as the mining sites runways kick up debris and dust into under slung engines. Meaning higher risk of damage and more frequent maintenance schedules. But the older aircraft aren’t great customer experience. The new A220 looks very slick inside. 👌
