I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, your hard work and determination inspires me. I have never thrown away a model or just put it away never to finish. I’ve thought about it a time or two but part of the challenge in modeling is overcoming obstacles to build a kit you’re proud of.

Thanks! You are a better man than me. I have thrown away plenty and certainly have my share of "shelf of doom" projects. Your determination and perseverance is certainly inspiring.

Crazy scratchbuilding there. And crazy that they made the kit with all of those issues.

Yep, not a great kit but certainly buildable. Just needs a little extra attention here and there. Hopefully saw my comments on the other post about contacting me through the website. Appreciate it!

Yes...........When part 4??????? I need confirmation the outboard pylons and the Lug to Lug wing locators are the pits! I'm at wits end over this thing. Great solution for closing the closets at the tail. Who woulda guessed? Also seems the AIM's are to long? I'm not even gonna attempt the weapons bays. I think you will hafta do 4, 5, 6, 7, to cover all the bad fits! Cheers from Oz.

I could barely make it to part 3 so I'm not seeing the future parts anytime soon. Too many projects, so little time. Hopefully you can pick up the torch from me. The kit is a lot of work for sure. Good luck!

Most encouraging to see your way of overcoming the fit problems. My first build was similar, buying the kit when first released, with very little reference material available, such as the plumbing department on the swivel exhaust. ! I have my second kit arriving soon and your material will be of an immense help. Cheers and thank you. RedRoo.

Glad it might help. The kit does fight back a bit here and there. Good luck on your second one. My first one stalled out. I do need to get back going on it sometime in the future. Appreciate you taking the time to provide the feedback. Cheers!

Hello 👋 I'm trying to build this same kit & finding it almost impossible. I started to follow your build, but at this stage the videos stopped appearing which has totally put me off now as it's been 3 YEARS! You can't just stop a build like that & forget about it. I've now got to go find another video that shows ALL the build.😢

Very tidy result on the engine, a tad better than it could have been moulded. It would have been nice if they’d tried though and you have to wonder why they left it wide open at the back. Sing hallelujah for plastic sheet, CA and dental resin!

Thanks for the kudos on the exhaust. As far as the primer, I actually just used some Model Master stuff out of a rattle can since I ran out of my Tamiya primer.

I think besides the exhaust and bomb bay need to be aftermarket upgraded parts, what else majority do you suggest for this kit?
@FlyingSModels
@FlyingSModels 2 жыл бұрын
Those upgrades would about cover it. Only other one that would really help would be the after closeout for around the engine exhaust.

Just wondering if you have any experience using super glue and microbaloons as a filler instead of dental resin. In my mind, the microbaloons would be much easier to source and cheaper. Any thoughts?
@FlyingSModels
@FlyingSModels 4 жыл бұрын
I have not tried it but I have heard from other that have and didn't have good results. I guess one of these days I'll have to experiment for myself. I bought 2 pounds of resin powder years ago so I really never had the need to try to Microbaloon option.
