You could make battery contacts with actual magnets. Non-coated ones (like yours) conduct electricity really good. So at the same time they could hold your tank to the plane and conduct electricity ;)

Do you still check this channel? I’m building a diorama for my dad in a “wrong markings” group build. His favorite was the Corsair but I’m making a 1/32 scale. Do you think that micro motor will be ok with the larger prop?
@FlyingSModels22 күн бұрын
You should have no problems swinging a bigger prop. Seemed like those little motors had plenty of torque for a lightweight plastic propeller.

Wow. I've been into scale modelling for a while, and recently started servicing and working with 3D printers, but I haven't really looked into 3D modelling. It seemed all too difficult, especially with more advanced software everyone uses,but after accidentally seeng your video I gave MOI a try and though I have a lot to learn, I'm really fascinated with how intuitive it is for someone less familiar with CAD. Thank you
@FlyingSModels26 күн бұрын
Thank you for leaving some feedback. I agree with your statements completely and found myself in the same boat. But MOI has been so intuitive and easy to learn that it has opened up new possibilities for my model building. Sounds like you are having similar experiences. Not really sure what you mean in the comment as the 1/32 Pucara that I referred to ask scratch built is indeed from scratch. The Spitfire "mule" I was using to show the demo certainly is from a kit and I don't think I referred to it as scratch built. I do appreciate the comment, was just confused a little. Cheers!

Turned out beautiful. Question, how do you like the AK colors and does the ultra matt need to be thinned?
@FlyingSModelsАй бұрын
Thank you for the good feedback. I do like the AK colors. My local shop only stocks Tamiya so I usually default to them but the AK brand is really good and they have more FS color matches than Tamiya. I didn't thin their ultra matt but to be honest, the newer bottles I've used have been chalky so I switched over to Gunze flat. Hope this helps!

I really like your methods and you are a fantastic painter, wouldn't really say I have any real interest in planes but for some reason I have always loved the look of the Corsair, it's a strange looking bird but I always find myself drawn to model builds of this plane.

Dude! Where was this video when I started looking for model lenses a month ago? I model HO trains and I couldn't believe how hard these lenses were to find commercially and in the correct size! I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw your package of lenses from MV Products! I looked all over the interwebs to find some MV 3.5mm red lenses. When I finally found them, I way overpaid for them. But they are realistic. Your method looks much more economical. One question though: Have you tried to light them from the backside by drilling a hole through the metal backing? Do you think that would work? I am thinking for a small LED or fiber optic lighting.
@FlyingSModels3 ай бұрын
I sure hope it helps. The MV lenses were really nice but became harder to come by and really expensive. I'm guessing if you drill a small hole you could get a tiny LED up in there and it would work. Haven't tried it but would be fun to do so. Keep me posted on how it works!
