Sweet Diane, when you started to choke up, I got verklept! I love how real you are, your warmth and kindness 🌞, adventurous spirit, your love of nature and the sea 🏊‍♀️ , and wee soft spot for squirrels 🐿, ha,ha! This vid was a blessing, from beginning to end. And I teared up right along with you Diane... my dear mom was gone at 56 and dad at 35. I'm 51 and started getting depressed last yr after my 50th. But after a many months was able to start to looking at life/things in a whole new light and make the best of every day and look outward more than inward. It's been so good for me, my family, friends and even strangers... just wish I hadn't waited so long to figure it out! Not quite "living like there's no tmrw yet" but NOT moping around like my life is over either! For many yrs the FlyLady system has helped to keep my home and life in order but please know that your positive attitude and videos have helped me tremendously! Hi Diane, It is wonderful to go over the fly lady basics again. I am so happy I found fly lady because I was an over-cleaner. I spent way too much time cleaning. Doing this I have become so much more positive about cleaning my house. I love watching how many steps I get when I vacuum. I love my fit bit. I usually get about 3,000 steps just vacuuming. Another way I get oodles of steps is mowing the lawn - wow. I spy a wee tomato plant on the window sill. :) Happy Mother's Day Diane! :) xxx Becki

Your videos have been helping me stay focused and get so much more done by doing a little at a time. Also your messages help me to do something when I don’t want to do anything! Once I start the something it is so rewarding because a few minutes here and there leads to completion of a project without exhaustion. I am doing the timer method for decluttering, cleaning and organizing and it works so well with so much less stress. Thanks for your excellent, positive and fun videos. Morning routine was done yesterday and then, Bam!! The "wee pup"🐕 got sick and that led to a bath for him and shampooing the carpet. Which led to vacuuming the whole house except for DD18's room and doing an extra load of laundry from the pup. Which made my "change sheets" task a bit longer to get completed. I was feeling down so I made DH his favorite pie to put some cheer into the day! Got my Mom's mother's day gift ordered and some calls made...By dinnertime, I was beat so DH made dinner. I didn't get the 7 min app workout in and was beating myself up about it bc I had missed the gym, too. Then, this a.m I thought, "The get out of jail free card!!" You know I had lost my balance yesterday and had been stressed bc of it. But!! I had went to bed with a clean kitchen and shiny sink. And thanks to you, "get out of jail free" saved my sanity. (( Hugs)) Love your dots and T1 pink😊 "You can turn anything around and make a good thing out of it." Thank YOU for that reminder, Diane.

Another great video Diane. Planning to play is so good for us. Flylady system gives definitely gives us more time. We have to make the most of our life. I have some lovely hanging baskets and pots and we are spending some enjoyable time in the garden here . Is that a tomato plant on your windowsill? It looks fab. I love it. I have one tomato plant outside with just one flower on it so far. I also just planted some lettuce and celery in pots and sown some spinach. I put my swimming costume on again today but the sea is just too wild again so we walked to the coffee shop and am enjoying an iced mocha whilst watching your video. Have a wonderful day. Your mom is lucky, she gets two Mother's Days a year! I normally plan things between 30 mins- an hour, depending on what needs planned. On Sunday's I do my week's planning for an hour in my Happy Planner. Besides work, I don't have pressing matters to deal with, so I simply do a top 3 for each day and then decide what to do with the rest of my day after the top 3 are completed.

I have a custom made planner (ordered from personalplanner.com in Sweden) where you can fill out birthdays and anniversaries ahead of time, which helps. I go through my planner every month to see what's going on. Right now I'm looking forward to Eurovision next week. ;) Anything to do with family I highlight in orange, as I am Dutch (living in the UK) and that's our national colour. I also put reminders to send cards in time. Have you seen the trailer for the new Spiderman film yet? So looking forward to that one, he is my fave. Good day to you Diane, I had to chuckle when you mentioned the Avengers film. I was wondering if you had seen it :). I went with my DD12. She thought it was brilliant. I am not quite sharing that enthusiasm. I found it rather depressing for most parts, I was not sure about the story line. Thor as a slob? and it was soooooo long.... anyways. I am so glad I found your channel. I have finely gotten an organized and sensible way of cleaning and the result of it is sooo much more free time which I now spend with friends and family and all the things I thought I did not have the time for because I had to do some cleaning.
