I'm slightly confused... up until now I haven't bothered setting up dual rates because the planes I've been flying are not overly responsive. (I do use 30% expo though.) My confusion lies with how you assign that top left switch to be the dual rate switch... although as I'm writing this (while at work) I'm realising it's likely in the menu for that (top left switch) channel.

How to make the alieron and elevator mix ? For example when I turn left and right with the alieron I want the elavtor to move up aswell . instead when I turn to one side the elevator goes down and when I turn to the other side it goes up . how to make the elevator stay up when I turn both sides?

Hi there from New Zealand, First off thanks for a great video. As I am using this transmitter for sailing I use the right trim joystick for rudder control. What I need to happen is to start with a slow start to the movement and fast finish. Will the settings you show on here do that for me please, Regards Peter

I set my flysky FSi6 up with negative expo as you show in this video to soften center stick but it seemed to make the controls almost uncontrollably responsive. Are all Flysky fsi6 transmitters set up to go into negative expo for softer center lines? Ive heard folks swear that this is wrong but then others swear it is right. I flew and crashed my T-28 which is a very smooth and easy flyer but with negative -30 on the flysky it was completely squirelly so I am super confused. I only ever used Spectrum which was positive expo to set up a softer stick but I didnt like spectrum so I went back to Flysky. Im just so confused. Some swear one was and some swear its wrong. So frustrating and it makes me nervous to even fly .

Hard to advise without seeing it but I would say the best bet is to look at channel mapping in Beta flight or whatever software you are using and see how the settings are affecting the inputs the receiver sees

Thanks for the FlySky FS-I6 video. Can you please explain how to adjust the 4 trim buttons. I have a problem with yaw. Thanks
@RCFlyer857 жыл бұрын
Greg M You should never use trims on multirotors... if you have an issue with Yaw then there's usually 2 things to try. first try adding some dead band Yaw Channel you will see this option in the receiver tab. secondly if your sticks don't Center at 1500 then you need to adjust your RXRange and you can check out my video on that on my channel

thanks for the fast response. I'm very new at this and I just got my first racing style quadcopter. you say I should not use any of the trim buttons? First off never use trims... I'm not too familiar with PixHawk and especially not GPS systems but the actions you describe sound like either a gyro calibration issue or perhaps inadequate damping of the gyro causing it to overreact. Been out the drone scene for a while now but I hope that helps

yes it goes 124 instead of 1234. I set channel 3 to 50% and I was going to go from there and fix my settings. cuz with my 4s battery it was hard to come down. It is working OK, but could be better. I probably need to tune with Librepilot, ( I'm reading a book about that now.) But what about Rx set-up; sensors list, choose sensor, speed, I-BUS etc.. is that important? Also in functions; end points, aux. channels subtrim, mixes, switches and throttle hold? Aren't these important? I'm just getting back into the hobby after 20+ years, My old planes were made from paper and balsa, the change for radio was a different crystal set. Throttles were servos on a circular coil. These quads look like fun, I'm retired now and has time again for hobbies.
@RCFlyer858 жыл бұрын
Oh okay so... As far as RX setup the only important setting is to enable fail-safe. Sensors I wouldn't worry too much about. The only relevant info a sensor could give you is battery voltage but I'd look into osd for that. iBus I do recommend you use that in addition to doing the 10 channel mod for the transmitter itself and use a ia6b receiver so that you can fully utilize the transmitter while having a 1 servo wire connection. I'll gather a few links for you...
@RCFlyer858 жыл бұрын
OK here is a link to a thread I run for the Eachine Falcon... Within this post you will find links to what you need and how to do it. Just realize that you still won't utilize much of the transmitter other than the basics. The transmitter is a very capable model made for planes, helis and multirotors which is why there is an abundance of settings and features. www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?p=34719482
