I want to send a sincere thank you! I feel that you made this video especially for me as I have just purchased the NB4 PRO + and found out it does not bind to just anything and I have asked you a few questions on other videos. Thank you for replying to those BTW, you are one the KZbin persons that actually cares about content and your viewers, not just the numbers. Many of us do not have much money and these radios are up there in price so we want to make the most out of them, your instructions help us do just that. I wanted to tell you I have been a modeler for many years and have tons of spares (mostly airplane and helicopter stuff) so I 3d printed a little test bench that holds 8 servos and a space for the receiver. While following your videos I was able to simulate a setup with a TRX4 2 speed trans, both diff locks (yes I found out there are labels already in there for that) lights, and winch control. my test rig also has a combo of digital and analog servos. I just want you to know you helped this guy over here in USA a great deal and I really appreciate what you are doing on here.

You're the GUY, with the experience, knowledge and info. Wish I had come across tihis before I did a frustrating search on these receivers. But now it's clear about 'Classic' vs, 'Advanced'. The only bit I could add, if I may, is the 'double RX option' you get only with the advanced RXes, and you have covered this already too, I believe. This is an interesting option if you want to mix the old ibus and new ibus2 sensors in one vehicle, if I'm not mistaken. It's still a work in progress with my helis. Cheers.
@WTFRCCarsАй бұрын
So only enhanced Rx will allow you to bind 2 receivers to one memory, but on enhanced receivers you have the option to set one of the ports to ibus to allow older sensors or ibus 2 for the newer ones :)

Hi Craig. I'm running 1/8 nitro on road and wonder if FGR4B (one external antenna) or FGR4D (two internal antenna) is more suitable for this application. Thanks.
@WTFRCCars2 ай бұрын
Fgr4b is better for nitro :)

This video was perfect in helping me figure out why I had to rebind to my fgr4 v2 receiver whenever I went to run my Sledge. My kagama and Talion EXB both have the fgr4b and I just turn on the tx and the esc and go. If they are both AFHDS 3 why are they on different protocols? Thats what throws me for a loop.
@WTFRCCarsАй бұрын
The classic type are the old original receivers the enhanced are the new ones made for ibus 2 and faster connection modes that all
@fonicgaming6787Ай бұрын
@@WTFRCCars Thanks for the reply! Makes sense, having the enhanced receivers on a different protocol than the older gen receivers.

Thank you for the info Craig! Very informative. I watched the entire video and I have a few questions still. 1. Do you know what the hz is for hobbywing quicrun esc lineup? 2. If your digital servo doesn't specify hz rating is it ok just to leave the transmitter on the default 400hz setting or should i go down to 333hz. 3. Can you do a video on how to change the screen protector. Mine came with a bubble and i dont want to scratch my screen trying to change it.
@WTFRCCars2 ай бұрын
So almost all digital servos can run 333hz to 400gz no issues at all so leaving at 400hz is fine, the quick run series should all be fine it 400hz digital I have run this one many without issues, as for the screen protector it's just like a mobile phone just peal it off and drop the new one on if you start from on side then you should be able to get it on without bubbles :)

Quick question, can you run ibus temp sensors, and an ibus 2 gps on the same enhanced receiver at the same time?
@WTFRCCarsАй бұрын
No you can only run ibus or ibus2 not both at the same time

My nb4 firmware is still 2.0.85 and I can’t bind to my inr4 or gmr receivers. also cannot connect to laptop tried different cables and ports tried restarting with the nb4 still on and no luck. The firmware update and assistant does not show any connections. Do you have any solutions?
@WTFRCCars2 ай бұрын
If it's not being detected by the pc it's normally one of a few things, USB cable is just a charge cable not a data cable, the base battery is not fitted correctly on the radio so the data pins are not connected, the pc has very old usb drivers that don't fully support usb standard or have missing drivers from the pc, sometimes just connecting a usb hub and connecting the transmitter to that can help too
@vinnyz342 ай бұрын
Thank you for the reply. Laptop is an hp vitcus with windows 11 it’s relatively new and I have updated the drivers. I tried reconnecting the battery on the transmitter and I also bought a few different “data cables” to try and nothing has worked. But I will get a hub and see how it goes. Does the cable have to be micro usb to usb or can it be usb to usb
@WTFRCCars2 ай бұрын
@vinnyz34 it has to connect to the micro usb on the nb4 and usb A in the laptop

I am building a new drift car, and i bought the nb4+ and it came with a FGr4S V2 receiver, would that fall under the classic receivers? My servo choice was the Reefs RC 299LP with Reefs RC drift gyro and i went with the Hobbywing Xerun XD10 Pro Drift Spec ESC and Matching motor Hobbywing Xerun D10. Is the receiver (FGr4S V2) that my nb4+ came with ok or should i change it out to one of the others?
@WTFRCCars2 ай бұрын
Yes it's a classic receiver but it's fine for running what you have, you may want to look at the fgr4d in the future if you want to run above 333hz servo speed or ibus 2 but for now it should work fine for you :)

Be interesting to see how you get on with it, in the past Dumbo RC radios have suffered interference, run aways and not great latency so be interesting to see if things have improved :)
@fossfamilyrc80662 ай бұрын
I have the new dumbo ddf 350 for my bashers and I haven't had any problems with runaways and latency the only problem I think they have is when there to close to the receiver just like the new radio master they both interfere when there to close u can make the car stop working it's weird but never had a problem with any of that...
