Thank you so much for all the videos. I watched all your episodes. Thanks for sharing your wisdom. I liked: Out2 solution (I noticed the blurry sounds when going into an amp), expression pedals and volume issues (parallel effects). Maybe you can sell some presets ;-)

Hi, thanks for the explanation of the preset and various outputs usage. Would you mind sharing the axe preset as well to see on my rig a professional setup. Kind regards

I'll probably do this in a future video, but I generally tweak my sounds quickly at soundcheck to compensate for the room. Just like you would in a standard guitar amp.

Was the stage volume loud enough that you thought you needed the extra backline volume instead of just the wedge?
@RoshRoslin Жыл бұрын
Depending on the situation, as you can see by my placement in the video, the wedge is to my left and the rest of the band is to my right. So I technically am blocking the path of the sound to the drummer from the wedge. Any sound volume the drummer on the platform hears would be from their own personal wedge including whats mixed from FOH/monitor engineer. Same with the singer, they wouldn't be able to hear whats coming from my FRFR wedge to my left. So the guitar cabinet does point the sound toward the singer so they can hear the guitar without needing it mixed into the wedges at the foot of the stage. I didn't mention it in the video, but a lot of guitarists don't compensate for what the other musicians on stage want/need or are used to hearing. Some musicians want to hear the ambient guitar from an amp on stage etc, going fully direct or on IEM only eliminates that which then means the other musicians need to rely on the FOH engineer to mix in guitar for them. It comes with experience, but since the venue already was providing a backline amp, it made it 100x easier to mix guitar for the other musicians on stage. I can even point the amp a little more toward them so they don't need to mix in guitar in their wedges and can keep the mixing simple in their own personal wedges.

@@RoshRoslin Thank you so much for this explanation! I've just started playing out again after a 20 year hiatus. Then it was just play louder. I may actually be able to sound good now.

Yo! These videos are super helpful and informative. I have a question I haven't been able to find. Are you able to run 2 guitar inputs into this, have 2 guitar amp block lanes, both Outputting independently for live performance? So like Left Guitar goes into Input 1 -> its own amp/cab chain -> Output 1 THEN Right Guitar goes into Input 2 -> its own amp/cab chain -> Output 2 I imagine there are some things to be mindful of in the sense where if we'd need to switch presets/scenes that only 1 person would have control over it and need to make sure that if we don't want 1 guitar affected that it's just a copy of the previous preset/scene and only the other guitar is affected.
@RoshRoslin Жыл бұрын
yes you can do this just as you described. The best method would be to use the scene ignore feature on all or most of the blocks so that the other guitarists path isn't affected by turning on effects or switching scenes.

@@RoshRoslin awesome! Thanks for the info and answering my question. Am picking one up now!

Is it possible to use the 3 inputs all routed to out put 1 ? I have 3 guitars and it would save time for me to just pick up another guitar rather than unplug it and switch guitar's
