I am grateful and blessed to be part of their Ohana and their art. I have trained both of his uncles (Batikan and Tyrone), and it was unfortunate when his uncle (Tyrone) disabled the schools. However, I was fortunate to continue my training with the original students of GGM Pedoy (Gary Largo, Leslie Largo, Carlton Kramer, Knut Peacock, and Peter Schmalls), and each of them has its own style and approach which I greatly treasured. I am greatly thankful for my experience and the honor of knowing their family art. I will cherish and treasure it as long as I live. Long live Pedoy Derobio Escrima, and long live all the families that forever continues the art. Mabuhay!
