One thing I can say about FMK is that their customer service is top notch. I had a couple of issues with my firearm and after describing the issue to them, they sent out new and better parts for free. Now the gun shoots like a dream. For the price, it's really hard to beat. The company still fighting the good fight for the 2A community in California.

Hell yes! I just did my dros paperwork a few days ago. Can’t wait to pick mine up. I was hesitant buying one because it was too cheap to be true. But after reading tons of reviews and seeing these videos I am glad I got one.

wouldn't trust it for EDC, but for the range, sure. These things have a much higher failure rate than pistols 100-200$ more. Worth dropping the extra benjamin on a better more reliable pistol.

Tbh all this gun needs is regular maintenance. I clean and lubricate mine every time after the range. So far the only issue i had happened because of cheap Hornady ammo from Bass Pro, my gun jammed every other shot with that ammo. Try to use good ammo like Blazer, Federal, Sig all others but Hornady lol

@@jasonyurrrr9994I have a couple as well I like to take it down and clean it some people use oil I prefer grease in my pistols /shotguns rifles get oil for mine but clean off the pistol add grease give it about 100-200 dry racks while cleaned and lubricated to your liking then take it for a test fire and use good ammo I’ve shot most the stuff FMK says the pistol doesn’t like everything but Winchester white box I’ve shot reloads , steel ammo ect I had two malfunctions the first 5 rounds after that it’s ran flawless I have close to 450 rounds in it rn

@@jasonyurrrr9994 there is no MAGIC PILL. When it comes to guns you truly get what you pay for. -- IF you pull a gun to defend your life, you want that budget 9mm, or the best 9mm ever made??? I am NOT. A Glock fan but, for a beginner pistol, go buy a Glock. (I am a Browning high power, or CZ75 fan boy). Those are SWEET, but, not cheep. -- I am interested in seeing how good this gun is against $1000.00+ 9mm I have.

About 3 months ago I bought a Citadel Centurion CP9 9mm pistol that is identical in color, design, weight, barrel length, total length, width, that comes with one 14 round magazine, and on the bottom of the magazine is stamped, FMK, also on the end of the slide the words Freedom Liberty is engraved. The pistol is manufactured by Legacy Sports International, Reno, NV. I've since ordered two extra 14 round FMK magazines that work perfectly in the pistol. One thing for sure, you definitely gotta clean and oil the gun more often than normal if you put a bunch of rounds through it. I absolutely love the feel of the pistol in my hand, along with it's size, and I trust having this pistol with my life for a conceal carry weapon, but I do make sure to keep it clean.

My dad has been mentioning he would love to get a 9mm pistol for fun for like 3 years now. We’re hunting family (upland game) and we know pistols are fun and like shooting them but we only have river 22 and revolver 38 special (I mean I have a collection, but my pops dont), and for a starter gun for Christmas, this is what I got him, as it’s shipping in now. It’s doesnt have be top of the line and I don’t intend it to be, but a good started pistol that is reliable is what I am after. I don’t need it to be the sexiest and smoothing with a hair pin trigger, I was want something that is NOT as ugly as that effing brick we love to hate on known as hi point lol. If it’s not ugly as sin, and is reliable. All other factors can be mitigated with practice.

Lots of problems with mine. Put in the 804 trigger, the original was garbage. Put a metal slide stop in. Then the sticker had to be replaced after about 500 rds. It likes some ammo better than other, I've found that Remington range is not it's friend. Had several failures in going in to battery, I polished the feed ramp and chamber and it helped quit a bit. Also seems like some of the issue getting in to battery is on the mag. Rounds get hung up from time to time. All in all it's been a project. Probably should have spent the couple hundred more for a Glock but I've kinda enjoyed having something to fuss with.

Nice review, thank you. I don't own one, but I have handled one. I have numerous firearms and enjoy tinkering and tuning. I have thought about piking up an FMK as a range toy and tinkering with it to see how good I could make it, especially the trigger. It could be a fun project. Seven pounds is not heavy for a double action trigger. It's light. Why do reviewers keep saying it is heavy? And I don't just mean the FMK, I mean in general. Double action triggers are commonly in the 10 to 15 pound range. The Sig and S&W models you showed a graphic of actually have double action triggers in that range. The trigger certainly is crunchy and/or notchy, but by DA standards, it is light.

4-5 failures out of 2500 rounds? That's pretty good. Like 1 round every 33-38 magazines--I'm in. For me, the most important, fundamental factor is that be reliable. So this passes. For the price, really good.

It seems that it's just very picky with what ammo works well with it. I think some of the problems people have comes from finding ammo that works well with it. Seems to work better with higher grain ammo.

I have one, the grip is the best part of the whole thing. The worst part that has no real solution to is the way the trigger is designed. No matter what upgrade or trigger "Job" you do to it will never get better than a standard old Glock 19 Gen2 if any... Overall it is a fun gun to shoot at the range, but never rises as a reliable carry pistol.
@michaelperaza1079 Жыл бұрын
I totally agree with you as far as the grip being the best part. I don't own 1 but I have shot 2 samples both being DAO as I'm in California and both samples were fresh out the box. I had zero failures out of roughly 200 rounds between the two pistols that I shot. I'm picking 1 up this week I look forward to tinkering with it to see what I can with the factory DAO trigger. Just curious what's the round count on your pistol ? I feel the same way about my S&W SW40VE as you do with the FMK.
@rafkend1422 Жыл бұрын
@@michaelperaza1079 I have shot about a little under 500 rounds and yes it shoots without any failures and mostly reasonably accurate, however, the trigger reset is long as well as the uptake with a gritty feel to it. All in all I would use it for plinking and cannot seriously depend on it for carry.

New Sub from TX. What handguns are more accurate than this FMK Brother?
I picked one up the same tan one a couple months ago myself, on the first 100 rounds it malfunctioned once but that might’ve been on my end loading the Mag. I can also agree it does get pretty dirty, my mags also tend to look like that afterwards but other then that I absolutely love it!

Warning! This pistol has a major safety issue. Try pulling the trigger without engaging the safety blade. The pistol will go off! I have sent this to FMK and it was returned with the same exact issue! The company will not acknowledge this and I had to pay shipping to them. I also verified this at Turners with their display model and the trigger will still engage without the safety blade. I will never buy anything from FMK.

Yeah I've been watching reviews, went to turners and bought one. This review is the first I've heard of this. I live about 20 minutes from the manufacturer and I've been told they'll fix your gun for you if you walk in with a problem. Not sure i believe that, I guess I'll find out if this is a real problem.

I'm rootin for FMK. But! Now that there'sa injunction on MicroStamping, FMK's gettin less attractive, every day! MY old eyes can't use iron's for S, so any gun I buy, MUST be OPTICS READY! I get that their mag-out safety's provided by tha DAO trigger, but that'sa $70 (MANDATORY, IMHO!) upgrade to tha "Fast Action" trigger, right outta tha box! And, if you want the OPTICS-READY slide, that's another $260! Def no clear consensus, online, so it's gonnabe a leap of faith, with the only compelling argument, in favor of takin sucha "leap", bein PRICE. IF FMK's only selling point is PRICE, then tha ppl who can only afford tha CHEAPEST gun they can get, are the exact ppl who should SAVE their $$, and get'a gun that'sa proven performer, outta tha box, cuz, if tha dice come up "snakeyes" for them, they hava paperweight... IF they wanna stay competitive, they MUST adapt the G3 OPTIC-READY slide, witha CA-APPROVED LCI, and getit ontha Roster! (Maybe develop a mag-out safety that's not dependent upon tha DAO trigger, as well...)
