Very good video man. I like your style and the explanations and when you unscrew the parts and show us how they are made. Very very good job.

Those front lights are so scale. 👍🏽 That nylon spur looks Fisher Price though. That white nylon is very soft.

It has held up to 50% more power than the truck was designed for so I think it'll be okay.

The original servo was also metal geared. The metal spool and transmission gears are nice upgrades. New weakest link is probably driveshafts. I am nota fan of the servo or battery plugs though. The original was already very durable. Looks about same speed as original brushed.
@DoRC
@DoRC 24 күн бұрын
Okay yeah I wasn't sure about the servo. I looked up the part number and it cross referenced to a plastic one. Thanks for clearing that up.

Needs a bigger wheel and tires like 1.2 or 1.3. Overall that brushless upgrade makes the whole truck better.
@DoRC
@DoRC 17 күн бұрын
Yeah the tires that are on it are pretty accurate for what would have come on the full-size truck stock but since pretty much every truck currently on the road has oversized tires on it they do seem a little small.
@JonnieB.
@JonnieB. 24 күн бұрын
Looks like a nice chassis, but the body seems oversized for the wheelbase and tires. Is this just an illusion on camera or is it really like that? FMS has really stepped up their game in the past year, very nice to see.
@DoRC
@DoRC 23 күн бұрын
It doesn't look really out of proportion on camera though the tire size is probably about with the stock tire size for the full size truck would have been and since most of the full size versions of these vehicles have oversized tires by now The stock tires do kind of look small.

FOC, sinusoidal startup... same same. Id assume this ESC might be closer to Injoras MBL32 (AM32) than it is to Furitek's super secret FOC firmware. Both perform amazing
@ruuster83
@ruuster83 24 күн бұрын
Also the old brushed system w Flysky's ESC is the best slow crawl brushed system ive ever seen. This is an awesome upgrade but it was already pretty dang good.
@DoRC
@DoRC 24 күн бұрын
Yeah their brushed systems were good but this is better. I've tried researching what the constant velocity feature actually is because it's not an inherent feature to FOC as FOC is just a more efficient way of spinning the motor. It's interesting though that the two features seem to usually go hand in hand.

It's a small battery but the truck doesn't really use a ton of juice so you get a decent length bashing session out of it curb

I want to want it..... But as someone with the max smasher and the high speed brushed motor.... nah.... I think I'd rather just buy a TRX4MT and throw the high speed motor in there. At least with that platform I have some options for gearing...
@DoRC
@DoRC 23 күн бұрын
Yeah upgrade options are definitely one of the limitations of a vehicle like this.
@dc9808
@dc9808 24 күн бұрын
so wth, why not have a metal spur gear since the friggin metal gear kit comes with one??
@DoRC
@DoRC 24 күн бұрын
I'm not sure. The plastic one seems strong enough but I was also expecting to see a metal spur.

Personally I’m more of a fan of the protek trutorque bits. I’ve found them to be just as good as the MIP drivers, as in I’ve rounded both off to the point of being unusable with time. With MIP charging basically the same to re grind your old bits, there’s no real advantage I see to going with MIP.
@DoRC
@DoRC 24 күн бұрын
Yeah I'm sure there are other good brands out there I've just had excellent luck with MIP. I honestly don't know how people round MIP bits off. I've had my current 2 mm bit for probably 5 years now and have used it nearly daily in that time. It still looks basically new.

Put an AM32 ESC for slow crawl
@DoRC

I'm honestly not sure it's possible to crawl more slowly than this thing already does out of the box. At its slowest you can barely see it moving
@daijoubu4529
@daijoubu4529 22 күн бұрын
@@DoRC I mean compared to the 2nd ESC you put in, to have programmability over the drag brake and all, maybe its AM32 based for all we know haha, like the Injora mbl32. AM32 esc can be had cheap nowadays, a barebone one is under 10 bucks loool

The wheel base is to short for the body, or vise versa
@DoRC
@DoRC 22 күн бұрын
Maybe a tiny bit but in person when the suspension is actually compressed properly it looks fine. The four-length nature of the suspension means that the wheelbase shrinks as the suspension extends so that can make it look kind of silly depending on how it's sitting.
@brsrc759
@brsrc759 23 күн бұрын
Super epic truck but the wheelbase is too short. It looks Goofy 😂
@DoRC
@DoRC 23 күн бұрын
It doesn't look quite as disproportionate in person. Bigger tires would help but to be fair the tires that are on it are probably closer to what the truck would have come with stock.
@brsrc759
