I work for the Disney Archives in Anaheim/Glendale & Jim Henson Creature Shop as a legacy prop designer. We (Henson) currently have 13 designers & wardrobe artists working exclusively for FNAF2 so glad to hear everyone is excited to see what we have been working on. There will be 2 new creatures that we have spent the last month ALONE working on. Adam Savage was at the shop Weds-Friday helping us with a new flame retardant spray for some of the suits. 😉

Smell? Mostly chemicals before the fabric has been washed & fitted. But in universe according to the lore-book we are given to use, a “sickeningly sweet smell of rotting flesh, with an attempt to mask made by perfume/cologne”. We used a 3M manufactured flame-retardant spray & it smells like a light lemon for reference. Mangle will be operational via a hook & pulley system (visually removed during post-production) & operated by 2-4 puppeteers using a mix of stop motion, light CGI, and air pressure hose-operated equipment developed exclusively for the movie.

I don't think Fnaf 3 will be rated r. There's nothing in the 3rd game that would require the movie to have an r rating. Especially since they already did the springlock scene. Also it would just be weird to have your first 2 movie PG 13 and then all of a sudden have your 3rd be rated r.

If they do 6 movies or more I think 4 and 5 could be Vanessa centric where 4 adapts Dittophobia where William punishes Vanessa for putting her brother in Fredbear's mouth thus causing his coma. Not to mention Sister Location could see Vanessa going to the bunker to put her sister back together. I haven't played the games, read the books, or seen the 1st movie yet however I think movie 6 could have Mike and Vanessa opersting Freddy's Pizza Place as dual protagonists where Henry, Mike's father, plans on luring the animatronics and burning it down which could cause Vanessa to sacrifice herself in the fire as Mike and Abby escape. Then after that adapt Help Wanted and Security breach with a brainwashed Abby trying to hunt down Gregory.

I’m not sure, there’s stuff like the Scary Movie films, where the first two were R rated and the rest were PG-13. There’s also the Star Wars movies, were the original trilogy and the first two prequel films were PG and Revenge of the Sith was the first Star Wars movie to be PG-13, so it may be possible.

Also, him and Abby fighting Afton and the animatronics sounds fun! Toy Freddy will try to eat Abby's head but Mike intervene and use his tazer or a gun. I hope they'll fight Mangle too and her killing random people will be scary!

The game literally talks about a child massacre and a guy getting his head crushed by an animatronic so yeah I don't think this plot fits in.

The Toy Animatronics aren’t haunted by ghosts, and instead use AI which could make them a lot more terrifying. If I could make a FNAF horror movie, I would. I’m not confident I could make a great movie for most other things, but if someone stopped me on the street and asked me if I would make a FNAF horror movie with 0 pay I would do it and I would make it great. It’s such an interesting concept for a horror movie, and there’s so many ways you could make the audience leave the theaters genuinely afraid.

The Toy Animatronics use AI facial recognition systems, the phone guy literally says it on like the second night or something. I’ve been studying this shit harder than my bachelors degree since the first game came out, I think I know what I’m talking about.

Phone guy says that he and the engineers don't really have an explanation for why the toys act weird, them not having a proper "night mode" is just the theory that Phone guy comes up because he actually has no idea. He does the exact same thing in Fnaf 1 where he says the animatronics are just in "free roam". Literally one of Phone guy's main characteristics is that he downplays the threats. The toys are haunted by the ghosts in the save them minigames. Which literally show that there were more victims besides the original 5. That would explain why the Toys act and behave exactly like the Withereds do (Black & white eyes, crawling through vents, etc). I've been studying Fnaf too, so I know my stuff.

There are a few stories that can't be adapted into live action due to being too gorey and dark for kids. Just because something is implied in point & click video games, doesn't mean it should be implied in multimillion dollar movies as well. Scott Cawthon's FNAF games all use the aesthetic and atmosphere of an R rated horror movie without containing any R rated content, causing them to technically qualify as kids games. The FNAF movies should take advantage of the medium that they are in to expand on the world and show what the games never could. Gorey moments shouldn't be excessive, but just enough to enforce an emotional point and keep a mysterious and dangerous atmosphere. The springlocking scene in the first movie is total garbage, without any of the darkness, loneliness, dread, shock, and painful death as the springlocking scene in FNAF 3.
