pffffft get what you mean with calling CC Dave from now, we've been calling him "the Crying Child" for literally 9 years it's gonna be weird hearing or seeing the first ever person to exclusively call him Dave in a video it'll be so weird and also yes I get some of the iffy parts of it but I got a whole lot more evidence since I dropped the video it's insane!

when GTlive reacted to Hyperdroid's video, Ash said something that actually makes sense from a puzzle creation perspective: it's like every answer is more difficult than the other. "the party was for you/it was for me" and "what do you see/i can't see" are obvious and straightforward because they're establishing the method to be used. then "does he still talk to you/i can hear sounds" is less direct, but it uses something that is already in the book to give further context to the question, which is the Golden Freddy plush being the "he" Cassidy is talking about. and, finally "do you have dreams/i'm scared" is the least direct connection, but it ALSO makes use of something that is already in the book -- but in this case, it's Michael's drawing of nightmare. this is the last letter found through the hardest method, and it's also the only page out of the four questions that directly tells you to REFLECT ("reflect on the meaning of your dreams"), giving you the final clue to get the name now that you have all four letters: the mirror if you look back at the puzzle for Cassidy's name, something similar happens. the method increases the difficulty. we start with altered page numbers, to using things that are already in the book, to using Michael's notes and writing to get the clues. both puzzles are consistent with each other in this way, which to me adds credibility to CC's name being Dave

And what did I say? The theorists are just too smart for their own good. Scott is not Cicada 3301, coming up with out of this world puzzles that stumped the world all in order to recruit people for whatever reason. Scott is just a dude who made a breakout hit of a game. I couldn't even begin to imagine what he felt when FNAF suddenly exploded in popularity. People liked the mystery and the puzzles and he did his best to make the best puzzles he could.

I do find it upsetting that people who are not huge on the theory community, but still making theories. But people just don’t believe them, because they are not big and popular. People need to understand, doesn’t matter if a person is not popular, doesn’t mean that they don’t make good theories. They are a theorist too, and the people have to respect that 🙏

I saw their vid earlier. Ironically the name Cassidy is also present. I haven't played the games yet, but Dave is a possibility. The only way that possibility would get shot down would be a retcon. Not to mention that Golden Freddy is the unnoticed retcon if the two souls theory is true. After I play Indigo Park I will probably check out the FNAF series. Honestly I'm surprised no one made a video about who possesses Golden Freddy as the unnoticed retcon. I mean the bad ending of FNAF 3 creates a Mandela Effect.

@@ediblefredible The Mandela Effect is where someone remembers seeing something that wasn't there or remembering a detail that isn't there. From screenshots that I have seen regarding FNAF 3's bad ending Golden Freddy has only one light source that indicates that he's possessed by one soul. The Mandela Effect is caused by the light source lighting up the other eye socket giving the impression of two souls. It was this Mandela Effect that probably spurred Golden Freddy's retcon into being possessed by two spirits instead of just one.

@@zenvariety9383 i mean i know what the effect is ahaha, but ahh ok i see what you're saying. the thing is though- yes, all of them only have one light source, but the main four all only have one of their eyes lit up. it seems pretty intentional that GF was made to have both lit up, even if still only from the one light source. i don't think anyone ever thought there were two lights (i've honestly never heard anyone say that, but i'm not going to say no one ever has lol), it was specifically about it having two eyes lit up while the rest didn't. in the years before the two spirit theory came about though, i always just took it as basically: GF is in the bg and is almost completely covered in shadow, and that's why both are lit up, so you can actually make out what you're looking at. so you're not wrong, it's fully possible that this was the retcon, but i don't think there's any mandela effect going on with the bad ending screen

Cassidy was already confirmed 4 months ago after Survival Logbook released in Fourth Closet where 1/5 missing kids, black hair girl is called Cassidy. She replaced there Jeremy specifically. Jeremies in FNAF franchise are always known from being always the most innocent black victim who lost their faces meaning they lost their own identity, do not remember who they are.

TBH, I am still not convinced that CC's name is Dave. I think, no, I know there is still a name you can find for the logbook for CC that does not require reflecting of any kind and without Mike's tally marks, and can be found using a simpler method. Until someone can accurately explain why you need to reflect or use mike tally marks to solve CC's name, I can not believe his name is Dave.

I mean the video also states that the rules to fine Cassidy names were also broken and needed things from Mike to figure it out. Dave simply does the same thing with breaking the rule and needing Mike to finish it, so there is a pattern. I think Scott just isn't really good at puzzles or wanted to make it more challenging as the clues went on.

@@fluffkit235 So just because the methods to solve for Cassidy were broken before, it's fine for this method to be broken for Dave, and we just have to accept it because its a pattern? First, that just means there's a better way to get the name Dave without breaking any method and no one has found that method yet. Second, flaws in the way to get to the name can not be ignored because "eh we're close." We are just repeating the same mistakes what we did with the name Evan before this. Which means on some level we are still technically giving up solving this book, even though HD could be very close to solving CC name. Don't settle for 75%, go for 100%. Lastly, I think Scott is good at making puzzles. It's just for this one everyone else is making it more unnecessarily complicated by bringing in Mike's Tallies and Reflect. Since I did say I know you can earlier, would you like to see why I said that?

Then what's the point of the mirror then? Why have a random mirror in the book if is never used? Is there any other use for it? Because if not, then using it for the name is the only thing that makes sense.

​@@Impulse001 Have you ever thought that the one who is "reflecting" in this book is Mike? Y'know the one who after witting in the logbook goes on to FNAF 6 to die. What does reflecting has to do with CC and Cassidy if they are dead and are spirits in this book? They are just having conversation to each other that quite possibly he doesn't know, because we are given it after Mike. Who's to say the faded text and altered text didn't exist when he had it before us? Theories if Mike is alive or not after FNAF 6 aside, that is consistent to him. It goes SL speech, this book where he is "reflecting" on his life, to FNAF 6. We may not know what the tally marks mean now, but they do mean something in regards to his life and look he's reflecting on his life up until he goes on to FNAF 6 fire. Hmm, sounds like a certain item from page you know and method you can use? So for your consideration, using consistent character writing, the reflect method has to or can go to Mike and all of his drawings, words, and tallies, instead of this.
