This is the second video in a new Hyper Droid Five Nights at Freddy's series, called FNAF: Unsolved Mysteries - a series where I attempt to answer (or at least provide all the information I can give for) FNAF's biggest Unsolved Mysteries without wasting any time. This video goes through one of the original questions that came from the FNAF VR / FNAF Help Wanted's Intro and has been asked again due to the Tales of the Pizzaplex Happs book's story: Help Wanted, all to do with whether the FNAF Timeline has recieved a Reboot. This video was written before Game Theory's "Game Theory: FNAF, Golden Freddy NEVER Existed!" video, which is why I was able to finish this video so quickly, so I wanted to go through some of his points and debunk some of it too (no hate of course!) to confirm that Golden Freddy ALWAYS Existed! This is Season 1, Episode 2.
Five Nights at Freddy's is an indie video game series and media franchise created by Scott Cawthon, later adapted by Steel Wool Studios and Illumix. It has further grown to big platforms such as Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo with Console Ports, also reaching all Mobile platforms and all Computer platforms. The video game series currently has 10 games, FNAF, FNAF 2, FNAF 3, FNAF 4, FNAF 5/Sister Location, FNAF 6/Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, FNAF: Ultimate Custom Night (FNAF: UCN), FNAF VR: Help Wanted, FNAF AR: Special Delivery and FNAF: Security Breach. The franchise also spans out across multiple series' of books (Main Book Series, Freddy Files, The Ultimate Guide, Fazbear Frights and Tales From The Pizzaplex) and merchandise (FNAF POPs, FNAF Plushies and some FNAF Board Games), with a FNAF Movie coming soon. Wait, people actually think Help Wanted means that the previous entries in the series never happened in-universe? I always took it to mean they did happen just Fazbear Entertainment was trying to do some "publicity cleanup(?)" so they can reopen their franchise to the public again. I mean, I know I wouldn't want my child to visit a kid's play place that had ties to the deaths of multiple people (especially children).

I remember reading someone saying that story from Happs could be a representation of Scott himself and what he could've felt with developing the games, like how the end of that story could mean Scott's retirement and him choosing his family over his career and how maybe Fazbear entertaiment (kind of) forced him make the games could mean Scott needing money for his family. @RyeToast Touched on this topic before Tales from the Pizzaplex #2 came out, and I agree with his idea much better than Matt's theory. It basically states that the first 5 games are canon (Because FNAF 6 & UCN are not referenced anywhere in help wanted, either the games we have were never made in the canon, or FazBear Entertainment is attempting to sweep the narrative under the rug), but the narrator is unreliable, so some details are different from what actually occured.

@@just_a_tepig3611 The biggest inconsistency in FNAF 1-3 being what suicidal idiot would keep going to work at a place where the attractions are trying their best to _kill_ them?! /s Then there are the *logic* errors: 1) the cops in FNAF 1-2 being so freaking brain dead not to figure out that dead kids disappearing + animatronics start smelling _like corpses_ = perhaps the missing bodies are _in_ said animatronics. 2) the guy that got Springtrap didn't report the obvious dead body in it in FNAF 3. 4) Who in the 1980s would have a kid that badly injured in their home rather than at a hospital (remember there are medical supplies and flowers that appear)? Though the theory that FNAF 4 is _Michael_ being tortured by William for getting his other son killed and the mini games are flashbacks actually works a lot better. FNAF 1-4 games being unreliable narrators of actual events fixes these and a host of other issues.

I think it's been very clear to everyone in the theory community that the indie game dev line is just Scott and Steel Wool saying "Don't put too much scrutiny into FNaFs 1-Sister Location", I don't know why MatPat, who for my money is most correct on these things, went so far beyond the pretty transparently clear purpose of the line, especially when he's covered the Scott quotes in the past that make this interpretation probable (refer to his quote on the books being in a different timeline because canon and continuity can become suffocating for story telling purposes).

One thing I wanna add about shadow Bonnie is that he actually proves at least FNAF 2 and 4 had to have happened because shadow Bonnie shows up in them. In FNAF AR shadow Bonnie is a mechanic unlike the other "animatronics" it shows up in its own way separated from the other survival challenges, it appears while collecting remnant trying to stop you from getting remnant we find out goes to William, which means it isn't sent by Fazbear and co. The indie dev would have no way to know about him since that's one of the three times he's appeared and the only time separate from only Mike seeing him.

I, personally, despise SteveTheory, and I, quite honestly, _never_ want this theory to be true. However, if SteveTheory is (hopefully) incorrect, there’s still something about _Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted_ that makes absolutely _no_ sense to me whatsoever: How does the rogue indie-game developer (along with Fazbear Entertainment) know of the Nightmare animatronics’ existence if the only individuals who had likely _ever_ seen the animatronics in such detail were the Crying Child, Michael Afton, and, potentially, William Afton? Honestly the indie-game developer part from Help Wanted seemed like a tongue in cheek thing that Scott was doing as a kind of way to kind of play around with the rules. A slight handwave justification for the utilization of all these characters and references and a small joke to say for longtime fans to not think too hard on it. To quote Mystery Science Theater 3000's intro "just repeat to yourself it's just a show, I should really just relax" In any case, I used to like Matpat but things like this were why I had to step away from his videos entirely.

Scott debunked this theory back in 2019. MatPat even got the evidence wrong, while it's true that Steve was hired by Fazbear Ent. to make 4 games, he only managed to complete the original 3 becouse he died to the same day after he finished FNaF 3. And how did he not realise that the original 4 games need be real so the later games can happen? We literally see Springtrap in the SL cutscene and FNaF 6 and we also the the graves of the missing children in the lorekeeper ending in FNaF 6. This was EASLY his dumbest theory.

Help wanted wasnt about game devs trying to recreate an indie game developers work. It was about about game devs scanning haunted robot parts and finding usable data on them. The levels aren't an approximation of some in universe game. They are warped memories of dead robots or something who were present for FNAF 1-6.

I give MatPat huge respect for releasing his theory anyway, this is honestly the first time I seen him not really like his theory or not believe in it himself. But honestly I don’t really want to go with the theory that everything that happened in the five nights at Freddy’s series never actually happen or the animatronics were never actually possessed. This would mean they have an indie game to be based upon from. We don’t see Pizzeria Simulator content anywhere since it’s real I’m the fnaf universe and it’s supported with the Pizzeria Simulator Location being under the Pizza-Plex in Security Breach.

This is how I think the Fnaf theory goes like during the start of Fnaf Vr Help Wanted. When the handunit was speaking to you about the fnaf events that took place, I think it was trying to say that Fazbear Entertainment was trying to lie about what happened back when it was a brand new company. What I hate about modern theorists is that they take things to literally and I think Fazbear Entertainment was just trying to cover up the suspicious past. MatPat's theory is complete and utter bullshit and I don't aggree with what his new theory was explaining. Also, when Glamrock Freddy was saying to Gregory "I fell you are broken", was just an easter egg but MatPat takes too much information literally and thinks that what Glamrock Freddy says to Gregory is real but I think Steel Wool Studios was just trying to put in some easter eggs hidden here and there. MatPat has to understand that there is a difference betweem easter eggs and dialogue said by certain characters and his latest FNAF theorie are just bullshit.

Makes a lot of sense but I'd want to have my opinion which I've never heard from anyone else In FNAF: Security Breach, the pizzeria isn't FNAF 6 location (kind of) As it's only the location that was shown in FNAF 6 opening cutscene The nameplate on the pizzeria is exactly the same or at least very similar I think they would modernize it to make it more time accurate so it's just not right. What I think is that it's the first Freddy's pizzeria. The grand re-opening wasn't a reopening of Freddy's as previous owner was Henry Emily, because as phone guy mentioned, it was previously Fredbear's Family Diner which was later on purchased by Fazbear Ent. The second thing confirming my theory was appearance of Mr. Hippo as a replacement for Freddy (shown in one of the endings in a newspaper) It doesn't seem right as everything from FNAF 6's pizzeria was burned and burntrap has the look of FNAF 3's springtrap It was not a rebuild from remains of G. Bonnie As we know, Vanessa isn't the person manipulated by Afton himself because there's a 2nd person with the same visual appearance a. k. a. the woman behind the Vanny's suit (as we know from the rooftop ending) Vanny (let's just call that woman this way), was seemingly easy to manipulate, so let's assume William manipulated her to have a second person to help doing his work Maybe it went out to as whole 2nd theory but I just had to try to confirm what I've written earlier

I have to admit that I haven’t played any of the games, but I have watched a bunch of lore videos (including over 70 of MatPat’s). Since I haven’t played the games, I might be getting a bunch of stuff wrong. As far as the indie developer goes, is it possible that the first 3-4 games are by the indie dev, to distract from the missing kids. BUT… only the surface level stuff is ‘fake’ while the mini games and hidden logs (or whatever) are the true story, hidden by the dev because he felt guilty. Fazbear Entertainment would only see the surface game - live til morning - while only people actually digging would know the truth.

This doesn’t really debunk the theory though? You claim that the animatronics must be haunted because we see the ghosts in Fnaf 3. But that’s exactly why Matpat claims they might not be haunted, since Fnaf 3 is one of the games with now questionable canonicity (if the story is to be interpreted like he does).

@@wutrudoin5431 The MCI would of course still be real, and it’s very much possible their bodies were stuffed in the animatronics. It’s just now being questioned if the animatronics actually were possessed by the children’s spirits. Or if that was just something the developer made up. And the blob is most certainly not haunted. Even if ghosts are still real. Most theorists I’ve seen at this point suggest that it’s mostly just made up of agony, as well as parts it has salvaged from the pizzaplex.

@@wutrudoin5431 Agony has basically nothing with actual haunting to do. It just gets infused into objects when people feel the emotion, such as when they are killed. (Which is why people in the Frights universe often confuse agony infused objects with being actually haunted). I’d love to see the source of Scott debunking this though.

i dont think having the first few games being made by a game developer mean that nothing we see in them can be true as matpat says,, i feel its far far more likely that the story told in these games is true and its just the gameplay thats meant as the "indie games",, this can explain stuff like weird design retcons between games, namely scraptrap and springtrap, if we were to say that a version of ffps was made. i know they only said he made 4 games but scraptrap, scrap baby, and lefty were all referenced in security breach as arcade machines so its likely ffps was made in some form

In my opinion the games the inde developer made where the original trilogy of FNAF books and the Fazbear frights novels. It's the only way it would make sense, WHY WOULD FAZBEAR ENTERTAINMENT HIER GAME DEVELOPER TO MAKE GAME BASED ON MURDERS THAT REGULAR PEOPLE IN UNIVERSE KNOW ACTUALLY HAPPENED!. A bunch of games being out there highlighting murders that happened in their establishments would only make people remember the actual crimes that happened and make people look into them more. If Fazbear Entertainment wanted to cover up past events, they would want people to see the most crazy, off the wall stuff possible. Now compare the absolute lunacy in the Fazbear Frights Novels, and the OG trilogy of books to the first 4 FNAF games/ which were much more tame than the story we have now/ and Which do you think is crazier and would make a better cover up. --------------------------------------------------------------------- PROOF: We see characters from the OG trilogy of books and the Fazbear Frights novels on arcade cabinets in SECURITY BREACH.
