@@jessenl360 when you lose your friend/love in a violent, unexpected way, there's no healing from that. You just learn how to cope with it better. But even if years go by, the pain is still there. There are some days where it becomes too much, and yet you still try to be as cheerful as you can be on the outside. In the part of the song where he sings fast, muffled and over himself, that's how coping with grief is, at least for me. You're trying to carry on about your day, but mentally, your mind keeps thinking about the person you've lost. You think about what could have been. Not saying that that's me every day, but it perfectly describes that particular moment in grief.

My sister showed me this song because it was “my vibe” a while ago. I loved it and then listened to Wake Me Up and A Knife in the Ocean and absolutely loved them too.
