I never realized Dr. Bronner's soap could be used for hand soap as well! I use the bar soap for bathing and have also used the regular soap as well. You just saved me hundreds of money! I appreciate it!

For a more advanced foaming method, try an automatic foam soap dispenser. It only needs a soap and water mixture to produce quality foam without pressing. This is more hygienic and reduces cross-contamination. I'd love to see the blogger experiment with this!

Hi do you find that your liquid soap and liquid shampoo recipes separate a lot because the oil and water do not mix. I have even tried blending some of the recipes but they still separate. Even using honey and aloe vera do not seem to help emulsify. Any thoughts or tips? Love your channel. Learning so much.

I’d love to make this! However, I notice that when I use castille or homemade soaps they bind to water and leave a terrible waxy coat on every surface they touch (to the point I have to wash the sink every day to remove it). Is it because we have hard water where I live and it binds to its minerals? Why does that not happen with other types of soaps? (Fortunately I don’t use soap for anything, but guests and sometimes my bf likes to). Hope someone can help me with this mystery!

That's so interesting! We have hard water here also, and I haven't experienced this. I use Dr. Bronner's liquid Castile soap, I wonder if that makes a difference.

@@bumblebeeapothecary interesting! Thank u Marissa! I actually did a research and it might be the kind of minerals in each water (like calcium). I found this: Hard water contains calcium and magnesium ions. These react with the sodium stearate molecules in soap to give calcium or magnesium stearate, which forms an insoluble scum but at least rinses away. ... Naturally soft water has no ions and rinses away soap the most effectively.

Do you add preservative to hand soap to prevent bacterial growth?

Does it sting eyes? I'd like to try this as a baby shampoo. I hate it but I use the Johnson & Johnson baby soap since it won't sting her eyes. She is super wiggly and when I'm rinsing her hair, suds inevitably get in her eyes.

Hi there. I just found your channel and was really impressed with all the recipes for all the stuff I always wanted to try making. But before I start getting to work and trying it out I have a question. My mother has MCS (multiple chemical sensitivity) so I can't use essential oils because the smell is very bad for her health. Could I use ground up or cut fresh herbs like peppermint or lavender for example for the soap, shampoo and other things? Or should I stick to the recipes and just leave the essential oils out? Thank you very much for the great videos by the way!
@bumblebeeapothecary3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, and I'm happy to help! I haven't tried fresh herbs myself, but I would say it would be worth a try. Otherwise, just leaving it unscented is also very nice :) Hope that helps, and sending well wishes for your mother!

Hi . Loved ur videos . Can we use fragrance oil instead of essential oil ? Will the quantity be sane ?
@bumblebeeapothecary3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I'm not sure, I don't tend to use fragrance oils since they aren't as natural. I am guessing you would use quite a lot less.

This sounds fun to make! What exactly is castile soap? I see it different times but really don’t know what it is? ~Charlotte
@bumblebeeapothecary3 жыл бұрын
Great question! Castile soap is a really pure soap made from olive oil, and sometimes other oils as well. I have a link to the one I like to use in the description box and here: amzn.to/3CeW71C

Has anyone had trouble with the water and Castile soap separating? Ours keeps separating and needs to be shook before use every time.
