I appreciate what he said aboit having the intention to make a time to discuss things together, that you 'don't want' to talk about.... and saying we're not going to back out of it. I think that is wonderful

It’s not about the bond but the covenant and obedience

that is hard though... don't you think? I mean I do believe what you are saying, but surely Jesus delighted in the church... and in loving the church.. and I guess inside, we wives, hope for our husband to delight in us in that love too... but when they don't, it just cuts you. So my question is, is it wrong for a wife to hope for her husband to delight/love her, (more than just out of duty... but out of a delight). ???

Obedience to whom? Frankly, in a marriage, it's about the relationship dynamics.

My wife is more precious than rubies, I am her exact opposite. She is kind sweet tender , forgiving, godly, we both were raised in church, I have allowed bondage to take hold in my life, here is are I am 45 and struggling to change and crucify my worldly man every day . Now that I am sober, I find life boring. Seeking God and guidance.

When I was in college, people were deemed to be going steady if they had dated 3 times. So it was impossible to find someone under that pressure.

Getting married is the most destructive when Gods laws are not protected because can be trapped in sin. When devided and cleaving is not protected in our laws.
