The symbol of 3 feathers isn’t really a Welsh one. It’s come to be associated with Welsh Rugby and ‘the Prince of Wales’. The red dragon/draig goch, a leek or a daffodil would have been more appropriate to represent Wales.

Or, did I hear it incorrectly? Americans always use the short "i" pronounciation. When I hear UK speakers (not Commonwealth), they tend to use the long "i" form.

Okay soppy comment alert! Today's date is always difficult for me (I'm not going to go into why but it's a sad day for me) but when I realised it would be a Thursday I knew it would be okay because it's Foil Arms and Hog day! I hope you realise what you are for some of us. Quite often for me, you are a moment of light in a dark week, like today. You also make me laugh so much that I'm often still laughing about it hours later! Thank you for posting every week. Okay soppiness is over now! I'll go back to my normal comments next week!
