I definitely think a lot of the “self helpy” advice in this video might be the most important, a lot of us tend to obsess and get lost in our work and are willing to grind through burnout or ignore taking care of our mental health but in my experience some of my best work has come after I’ve taken a break or stepped away from projects. I’m able to work more quickly and with a fresh perspective and I’ve been less likely to injure myself from overwork. Set regular times to take breaks too, it’s easy to lose track of time and end up working all day but you need to be taking regular breaks, drink water, stretch, play with a pet, talk to a friend. If you’re working on personal projects I suggest calling a friend while you’re working or streaming on an art discord, keeps you from feeling isolated and gives you the opportunity for active critiques as well as an opportunity to teach others when they ask questions.

The very artwork displayed in this vide was started over four months ago. Not until I returned to it last week did I feel ready to finish it. Take time for yourself and your art will improve.

How did you mirror duplicate subtool on append? Or are you using a macro for that? What I want to do essentially is when I append a subtool that I want it to automatically be mirrored without having to go on zplugin or whatever

I really don't understand why I'm doing art work. I really love it, but why? It's so stupid. It won't make me money, it won't make me successful... Why am I doing this?...
