When I heard that Taylor Hawkins had died, the first thing I thought of was his interaction with Nandi at the end of this video. How he encourages her to throw her sticks into the crowd, and she throws one and is about to throw the other, and then changes her mind. While we can’t hear their conversation, it’s obvious what they were saying to each other. Taylor immediately supports her decision to keep that stick. It’s such a lovely moment of connection between two extraordinary musicians.

On some of her videos people some of the musicians talk about "I started when I was 17"... she's so far ahead of the curve, that it's hard to imagine a world in which she isn't a future among greatest of all time. I know one thing, Nandi probably healed a lot of sad people in the world just by sharing her amazing video's (with and without Dave Grohl). In the peak of covid I discovered her channel and I followed her on both youtube and facebook ever since. The personality, musical skill Nandi has is simply empowering and healing (yes, healing....she made many people feel better after having a shitty day).

I discovered Nandi two years ago. Since then she has received gifts from Dave and others of different instruments. Bass, 6 string guitars, trumpet, all which she promptly figured out how to play exceptionally well. Check out her page where she plays all instrument songs. Dave is correct: She is the real deal!

I love how Grohl puts kids on stage with him in front of huge crowds. This one is great. Nandi kicks it. She’s a natural. I love how she flips her sticks. The crowd shouting her name doesn’t faze her at all. Dave is just himself. The F bombs fly. He’s brilliant and cares about music especially with young kids.
