I was just wondering if you'd be open in doing a extra video of what we ate this week. I would be interested in seeing more of the meals you make your family. I am sure so would many of your followers... combined brought and food bank groceries.. I leave it with you. Pizza looked amazing. Home made pizzas is one of my favourite meals. ❤

Hope you're all doing well. I can't stop laughing at the sticker on the toilet paper and it's such a good cause. Happy to hear it's cooled down a little and you have rain for the garden. The rain and change in weather is certainly a relief from the humidity a couple of weeks ago. Yes love olives on pizza, it was delicious! Rain the garden will love it. The pizza looked delicious 😊 Try twisting the long sausage’s in the centre and then fry/cook in the stroganoff sauce instead of beef. Serve over cooked rice. A much more budget friendly option. Nice selection of groceries and veggies. Have a great week👍

Nice haul . lol I had looked away for a second when I heard. "Who gives a ... " , My head snapped back sôooo fast I'm sure I have Whiplash ! The toilet paper Co. Has a great sense of humor . Your pizza looked absolutely delicious . we make french bread pizzas . Have you ever tried pineapple on a pizza like yours . Your pizza looks delicious! That was a nice box for your $10. Here in the states there's a Sweet Potato pie, like pumpkin pie but using sweet potatoes. Not sure if the sugar and eggs needed would make it prohibitive to make. Those sausages can be used in so many ways. Great addition.

Maybe use the strogonoff base for a vegetable curry add a can of chickpeas potato, carrot and sweet potato serve over rice ! Pizza looks fab and I would take off the olives as well😊 I hope things improve for your family Mem soon 😊 Sending much love to your family

Hey Amber!! Thanks so much. It turned out very tasty and didn't last long! The garden has suffered lately with the heat, but despite that I have still managed to harvest a good amount of cucumbers and cherry tomatoes mostly along with basil, beans and rocket. The cucumbers have finished now though and I've pulled the vines out and am now in the process of digging up the garden bed to replant. Not sure with what yet, hoping the weather gets a bit cooler first! It's 36 °C (96.8 °F) here today so still very warm🥵 Have fun planting your tomatoes and pepper seeds on the weekend😊🌱

They are an eco friendly company that donate a percentage of profits to help build toilets for the 40% of the world's population that don't have easy access to one. Some of the companies I work with also pay an annual subscription to sponsor a toilet as well as buying the toilet paper.

Hey Tammy! Hehe, yes it's a very clever name lol! Thanks my friend. I wasn't too sure that the small bag of 'thick cut' mozzarella pieces would be enough (that was the cheapest I could find) but in the end it melted really well and was more than enough for the pizza. Was very tasty. I even had some cheese left to make the kids some 'pizza toast' the next day! Have a nice evening over there🥰

Funnily enough I made a basic fried rice for lunch yesterday using an onion, some green sweet peppers (from my garden), the can of mixed veggies and 3 of the eggs scrambled. It was very tasty!

Yummy stuffs. You can add sausage to pizza. I do. Cut in small circular pieces like pepperoni. Sausage make good pigs in a blanket too. Cut sausage and add to potatoes add onion, cheese, and egg. Makes a good breakfast bowl. Drink a cuppa for me and glad it's cooler. Blessings. 😊😊😊😊❤

Hello MEM. That pizza looks delicious, apart from the olives. Sorry, but they are one of the few fruit/veggie's I really don't like. My son on the other hand LOVES olives, any colour he will eat them.. The children will be disappointed not to have any biscuits this week, but there are lots of other nice things there. U have the stroganoff....U have the sausages 😁 I have made the stroganoff WITH sausages before 😂 yummy 😋 the kids love anything with sausages 😁 I boil them before I use them in a dish like that though....then peel off the skins and slice into rings .... Goes a lot further.... especially when U add things like peas and carrot 'coins' 😂 I'm a single mum .... And have had to get creative when my kids enter the "picky stages " 😂

Hey Leaha😊 Yes the sausages would be perfect with the stroganoff base, sounds like a plan! That's a good tip too with removing the skins. Adding extra veggies is always a great way to stretch it further isn't it? The things us parents do to get kids to eat (or even try different foods) lol!

What an awesome haul! Looks like you got many good items this week. Question: are you just handed whatever they give to you? Do they take into account severe allergies like peanut allergies or milk allergies? I’m also curious if there are any agencies there who help pets for people who own them but can’t feed them?

Thanks so much😊 Yes lots of helpful things this week. You can't pick and choose what goes into the box of grocery items... they have several prepared boxes set out on tables that you can select a box from (most times though the boxes have similar items, occasionally some weeks a few things may vary between them). Then you walk further along and volunteers give you extras like cold items, bread, eggs, fruit & veg etc. These extras you can say yes or no to, depending on your needs. Yes they're very accommodating at this food pantry. I know a lady that goes, who has celiac disease... she just lets them know ahead of time and they make her up a gluten free grocery box. I'm sure if someone had severe allergies and let them know beforehand that they would still attempt to help them. This pantry also quite often has dog/cat food available as extras to the grocery box (but I never take the pet food as we have neither animals). Yes, there's animal rescue organizations and local shelters here too who can rehouse pets if you cannot afford to take care of them.

⁠@@makingendsmeetIt sounds like your food pantry is one of the best. What a blessing to have so much available to anyone in need. I did attempt to find any food pantries in my area, found a Catholic Church in town that gives food away every Wednesday. I don’t always the need the help but the third and fourth week of the month we run dangerously low and I’m going to make a habit of going every Wednesday. Many people still believe that food pantries only give very expired foods or that it’s somehow pathetic to have to go to one. Quite the opposite as if those judgmental people aren’t paying for your food, they shouldn’t subject you to ridicule. That’s my thoughts on it anyway.

Yes we're so fortunate to have such a wonderful food pantry in our area, they help so many in my community. I'm glad to hear that you managed to find a church that helps with food too. Yes sadly the stigma of using a food bank, pantry or similar still persists. Those people don't have to feed you or your family though, so you're right, in the end you can't worried what others think, you have to do what's best to look after your family. I am curious about the buy me a coffee, do they take a large fee out of your funds. When we are wanting to help you I guess I would like to know that you are getting most of the money and they aren't taking large fees out of it.

Hi Donna😊 Thanks for thinking of us like that. They charge only a 5% transaction fee, and content creators get to keep 95% which is great.

Can you only pick up one box a week? Is it one box a person or one box a household. Here they go by how many people are in your family but it’s also free. So a 1-2 person household might get 1 box and a 3-4 person would get 2 and so on.

Tuesday is a free bread/pastry giveaway, Thursday is a regular free pantry where they can purchase a frozen/cold bag for $5 and then Friday they pay $10 for the box plus produce and sometimes a bag of frozen foods.

Yes it's one box per household. They ask how many adults/children when you pay. If you have a family they tend to give you more of the extra things like the bread, cold items, fruit & veg, eggs etc. (if they have food available to do so).
