Because unlike Mr.Beast who conducted himself as a professional on-set director of a scene, MattPatt is using licensed stock footage as a product editor. The real issue is, KZbin is actually on the hook as the prduction company and platform exhibitor. Sure, Mr.Beast made an illegal recording, but on a KZbin account. In function, the cameraman nor the editor is not the production company, regardless if payment for work while under official terms of agreement was given or not?

In Denmark there is also a statue that is copyrighted it known as "The Little Mermaid" , drawing, or other depictions of statue is copyrighted until 1. January 2030, however many tourists still upload pictures of it, as it isn't really enforced, only a few cases. Still wild that a statue of The Little Mermaid a famous childrens story, sitting in public space is copyrighted. It's a copyright violation. Shorts are not monetized. I don't think this counts as an actionable claim as there is no money involved. Most they can do is ask to take it down or cut that scene from video. And after nearly half a billion people have seen it, i don't think it even matters if it is taken down.

Did everyone just forget about TeamSeas which the group is called Ocean Cleanup that is extremely CONTROVERSIAL within environmental circles because: a. Cleaning plastic trash FROM THE OCEAN is like scooping a few drops of water from the ocean AKA an exercise in futility when stopping the trash from getting into oceans is a far more effective measure. AKA stopping corporates. Or simple cleaning up the rivers BEFORE THE TRASH GETS INTO THE OCEAN which plastic breaks down into MICROPLASTICS. b. The TeamSeas "project" provided a greenwash marketing for polluting companies that donate a few million each but they are the ones who pollutes the environment in the 1st place. It's like providing a tissue to stop the bleeding, worse than a bandaid. c. The facts regarding Australia's ecosystem and import laws reminded me of a law in Iceland I heard about once: If an Icelandic horse is exported from the country, it's not allowed to return. Ever. Nor are other horses allowed to be imported. It both preserves the breed and protects it from foreign diseases/parasites. Always thought it was pretty cool, and it's cooler to know that such precautions exist in more than one place :)

Curiously enough, I was SHOCKED when I saw the Tower light show. The copyright laws covering that made the rounds on the internet a couple years ago. I was unsure as to what law may have been broken by such a stunt, but the moment I saw that lit up Tower I immediately knew. The thing is: France can only just "act angry" about the copyright violation. They don't have any actual way to enforce it, as any judgement cannot actually be enforced. For international enforcement it needs co-signing by a local judge, who will verify if the specific law would also apply in the US. Otherwise while the judgement stands, it cannot actually be executed.

No, it's a city where people are selfish and ill-bred, the mayor of Paris is more interested in making LGBT passages than in solving the problem of rats (Yes there are rats in Paris), there are tons of pickpockets, the only solution the government found against insecurity is to put up signs "dangerous", coffee is 15 euros (and it's not even good), every store is a tourist trap designed to rip you off, Parisians live in 3 square meter apartments, it's impossible to circulate properly... So here is a list of some of the faults of this "city", frankly the French province is worth 300000 times this horror of Paris. Even for a 40 000 euros I don't spend a day in Paris

Actually already knew this one. The first time you showed the short I picked the illegal spot out right away, you just can't film the tower at night. They can and have enforced this when necessary, and there's been a few times where people have gotten in trouble for filming the actual thing at night. Though, with Jimmy not actually making anything off the short due to it being unmonetizable, he should be able to get away with it. Lucky him.

I haven't watched the video yet, but if I recall the video had a scene of the Eiffel Tower with all the lights on it. Which in Europe is a copyright infringement.
