This restaurant is an amazing hidden gem located within the hidden gem that is Mangalore. It reminded me of a local dinner where I grew up in Lakeville, Indiana called The Hill Top. I think you visited cafe late at around 9, 9.30 A.M. You missed a lot of other authentic Mangalore breakfasts and also you would have to wait for the seat. Chickoo sheera and Tomato bath from sajjige, Padangi bazil etc were my favorite... 😋

Good evening dear Kripal - Had a family get to and just returned home and directly jumped into your vlog - New Shivbhag Cafe . You are humility personified and checking gently with Mr Ananth whether you can have breakfast 🙏🙏 As usual local & global fans wherever you go . Wow they have a good breakfast spread 😋😋 Yes we also call it Rava Ladoo. You truly use SM to good effect 👍 Looks like a very popular cafe 👍 That’s a good spread of dishes that you have ordered 👌 Time to indulge into the delectable looking breakfast; beginning with Goli bajji with thick coconut chutney , Medu Vada with sambhar , Semolina Roti ( never had it before - would like to try it ) . Now for your favourite avalakki dish with Upma ( fab combo ) I agree we should be snacking on such dishes instead of PC 😀 The popular Mangalore Bun with liquid coconut chutney . Wow my favourite Masala Vada with thick chutney 😋😋😋 The Tapioca pudding looks like Panacotta . Another unique dish along with Ragi Pudding 🍮. Great way to finish the wonderful breakfast with Onion Pakoda & Hot filter coffee . I loved that you were able to connect with your past emotions while having the semolina roti . That’s the beauty of dishes when you taste after a long time. I thoroughly enjoyed every frame of the vlog , just flowed so smoothly. Yet another wonderful vlog . Am a 72 year young Indian Naval retired Marine Engineer (with roots in (Manlanguli) near Udupi who from a lineage of hoteliers, follows your posts and enjoy the "hmmm" and the delectable description of flavours and aromas,being a polyglot of sorts. Blowing my trumpet aside in introduction, the observation in your vdo that MOST dishes are not hot and the reasoning by the young Mr.Kamat,begs a suggestion that maybe the management could consider a short time of "warming" the cooler dishes in a microwave oven. Bengaluru has a vast and diverse population of eateries, offering a wide variety of vegetarian delights. But, what I like about Mangaluru is, with it's comparatively limited outlets, it still stands alone, in offering some dishes, which are absolutely unique. I always loved Mangaluru vegetarian cuisine. Equally delectable are the unique variety of vegetarian cuisine of Udupi and Kundapur. Bengaluru being a cosmopolitan metro, you don't get the kind of native delights offered by these cities, there.

I usually start my Breakfast session either with lemon teh/ coffee/ hot chocolate ( basically liquid) That's because I don't want to set my digestive system on fire with very heavy carbs / spicy ones . Changes from person to person.

I cant start eating anything before tea / coffee. I absolutely hate it in Bangalore they never give you coffee until you are done eating even after begging for it they just give you weird looks when you ask for it before you are done eating 😂 maybe its a Mangalore thing
