Foods for smooth and pain-free periods - PCOD/ Endometriosis/ Adenomyosis
Include these foods in your diet, especially 10 days before your period -
1. Seeds - Sabja for PCOD, Goond for Endo and Aliv for Adeno
2. Legumes - Variety of pulses and legumes like moong, chawli, kulith, etc.
3. Millets - Ragi for PCOD, Rajgeera and kuttu for Endo and Adeno
4. Fresh fruits - local, seasonal fruits, especially banana
5. Root vegetables and tubers - like suran, arbi, sweet potato, kondfal, etc.

@@snehalilme2517 I used to have tremendous pain during periods as well as my periods were not regular but know after consuming raisins before and during my periods my pain has reduced and my periods are regular now. Even I used to feel very low during that time but now my energy level is high as compare to before .

Mam, I have no words to describe how great of a job you are doing for all of us, these days we have been so misguided by the media about what to eat and how to stay away from our local food and practices, the moment you told about the root vegetables and Rajgira, I suddenly remembered the practice of eating all these things every 15 days on the day of Agyaras. Mam just a small request if you can also guide on telling us about the effect of Aliv, as I am suffering from adenomyosis and wish to get pregnant, won't it be too heaty in this summer time?

This really helped me to ease out period pain up to 90%. I tried for a month ( I wasn’t too regular) still this method helped me. I used to have severe cramps where I had to pop in pill to ease the pain . Just by taking soaked munakka it helped so much. I am so thankful to you Rujuta man. You are a gem.

Rujuta i have almost always tried to follow your guidelines, participated in fitnesd programe earlier as well, everyday my breakfast is homemade and freshly made. I had found about you and your book in 2011 i was 63kgs (my highest, away from home got married year back and in foreign country) with book help i had lost 4-5kgs and i have never got back to that weight except during pregnancy. Infact i ate all laddo and whatever my mom gave me including kaada and all for two months after delivery and to my surprised i had lost more weight than i had put on.. just for info before pregnancy i was around 57 and before delivery i was 74, and exactly at 1st birthyday of my son was 54 (i did no dieting nothing other thn breastfeeding and household work abroad wale 😝) and i am still between 54-55kgs, now he is 6.5 year old and being a strickt mom he can have cornflakes and all those stuff only 1-2 in week and except for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thank you for always guiding us endlessly and patiently.

Rujuta need your help forgot to mentione above if you can help please, it is ok to take magnesium citrate everyday i have been suffering from constipation for almost more than year, tried till on roti and jaggery post meal as you suggested and lot other things but really it didnt help (mental blockage hai ab to if what constipated, because my mood get badly effected) It gets worse near to menstrual cycle so if you can suggest something will be great help.

@@soneea2002 hi Soneea. I know your question is for Rujuta. I would like to share my experience. It may not be suitable for all. But my uncle who is an ayurvedic doctor gave this tip. Soak dry grapes 8-10 (I use normal kishmish) in lukewarm water previous night. Next morning mash it with little sugar and consume (both pulp + water). That's all. It helped me a lot. You can try if you wish. I could see the results after taking it everyday for about a week. Also, have lukewarm water after an hour of having food daily.

Very good video, informative, which noone will tell us. My grand mother used to give us a little country liquor for period pain, from our grand father's bottle without his knowledge. That did help during our teenage. Please make a video on fasting. How many hours is it good for the body. And what kind of food to be taken after fasting. Thank you, stay healthy God bless you !

I think its because of lack of nutrition. Obviously What Rujuta ji said works for you. Infact, You can eat all of the mentioned food items unlike people with these issues.

You can drink ajwain and sonth tea. Few cashew nuts are helpful as well. 3-4 days prior to periods or during. Gajar ke beej ki chai bhi le sakte ho, periods ke 1-2 days pehle.. agar kuch bhi nahi hai to dalchini and long chai mein daal ke piyo.. no pain or very less pain. Do not drink any cold water, cold milk and soft drinks, ice cream or even bananna during periods.

recently I've started taking an iron supplement without any prescription.. though it has helped me in reducing hair fall.. is it alright to have one iron capsulr every day? is there a recommended daily dose? My capsule is equivalent to 100 mg of elemental iron or 300 mg of ferrous fumarate .. please suggest

Pls mention something for non vegetarian also dear. If i eat just veg during periods it causes bloating and digestion issues leading to incontinence or constipation, which makes the pain even worse. I cant eat suran during periods bcoz of this, its my fav veg😔. Im so scared to eat anything bcoz of the pain
