Thank you so much for this wonderful information. One additional thing I would add. Whenever I buy a bag of beans or a bag of rice, it goes straight into my freezer for 24 to 48 hours. That will kill any of the eggs that are in there for the weevils and other things. Then I can do the same process that you're talking about with mylar. Then they'll be safe from inside and out.

I bought a rocket stove which all I need are sticks to run it and a lighter stick. I also got an 3 air tight containers to store beans & pasta in, and my friend told me to put loose bay leaves in it to kill the bugs. I got the containers at Lowe's 7.00 plus I think the lid is extra. 5 lb containers hold a lot.

Good morning and greetings from the Netherlands!'Always follow your videos about gardening with just interest and thank you for all the tips I didn't know yet! But sorry to say I wouldn't recommend peanut butter, as it's s known to have easily mold in it; even if the mold is gone it's still possible that there's still aflatoxin in it. Perhaps if it's a biological 100% kind of peanut butter,though it''s still a risk! Don't say you don't know about the product as I've spent a great deal of my youth in America and Canada and have had lots of it , knowing how delicious it can be. Got proof from an article on Wikipedia, though it''s in Dutch and the English version doesn't mention this at all. Perhaps because of the large food industry in your country?🤔 Also I wouldn't recommend sugar, as it happens to be great nutrition for cancer cells to develop. I know this from the specialists on the series Truth about cancer. Rather like you mentioned honey, which lasts for measureless time! And for instance carob. It is also mentioned in the bible that even John the Baptist consumed only locusts ( or " logusta" which means from the carob bean!) and honey, so which is highly recommended by God! If you can produce fresh beans from your garden it' s better to put them in the freezer to die the probable worms before cooking! I know this from experience: I 've seen some in my butterbeans, as they' re large and light . Thank you for all the other tips and happy prepping ! Greetings from a sda woman from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 God bless you and your mission!🙌🏼♥️

Thank you for this, very informative. I also wonder if vacuum sealing items extended the shelf live of items? Could they help to keep brown rice longer?
@Shereecesanchez
@Shereecesanchez Жыл бұрын
Vacuum sealing is good. I do this for dehydrated items. But don’t last a long because only oxygen is removed but still has exposures to light. Low baking brown rice can remove the oil for best storage. Haven’t tried this though so do some research.

@JaskaStevens
@JaskaStevens Жыл бұрын
@@Shereecesanchez Indeed vanilla comes in other forms. Here in Finland we don’t really use vanilla extract. Instead, people use vanilla sugar (vaniljasokeri), which doesn’t contain alcohol, but unfortunately sugar isn’t healthy either. Vanilla powder is the natural and probably best way to go. Soy sauce is a tricky one to replace. Of course we can just use a bit of salt, but the flavor and character aren’t the same. The important thing is that we only recommend storing such foods as those that don’t contradict our health message.

1 Timothy 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities... Genesis 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God... John 4:46 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum. Fermented or unfermented, fresh or dehydrated grapes contain alcohol, Asians are making liqour from coconut, rice, tomatoes and cane. If you eat from such food you're not alcohol free.
