OH!!! I love the slow cooker idea!!! BRILLIANT!!!! I’m the only one in my house that likes Scottish porridge, so this gives me an option for individual portions for overnight options!!! Thank you!!! 😊

I do the first method, one of the last things I do before retiring for the night is measure out 1/2 cup Trader Joe's (the same brand as you?) steel-cut oats into a saucepan and pour 2 cups of water brought to boil in my electric kettle over them, then cover and let them sit overnight on my stove. They come together quick the next morning. I sweeten with Trader Joe's maple syrup and add some Trader Joe's frozen berries. Sometimes I will use less water the night before and add a half cup of soy milk in the morning for the extra protein. It's the best breakfast in the world IMO. I make it every morning I am at home.

Thanks so much for the slow cooker tip. I would never have gotten there without being shown. The problem is that my slow cooker has no time setting or scheduling ability. So it would cook for the whole time I'm asleep. I don't know if that would work. Good video, too. May I ask what your accent is? You're very close to having no accent, so I can't really hear what it was originally. You speak well. I enjoy hearing people speak who don't use junk words and placeholder sounds. You sometimes use "da" for "the" which is the biggest tipoff. But you get "the" right a lot of times too. Taking a wild guess I'm going to say somewhere around the Black Sea maybe?

Hi, prefer my steel oats the softness of oatmeal ,not chrunchy when preparing in the pressure cooker. How much time do i need ?

I noticed in the overnight method of putting boiling water over oats and letting sit out overnight has a smaller ratio of water to oats. Is this correct? everything I've seen shows a 1 to 4 ratio. Unless I wrote down incorrectly it showed 2 c water to 1c oats

Is steel cut oates a serial? Does it have anti nutriants? Should you soak steel cut oates overnight ?
