Before commenting, I read many of the comments below. I can only echo: Chip Foose is the greatest of what he does, create dreams. I grew up in the '50's, and seeing one of my favorites ( the 1956 Chevy ) restored and improved made tears run down. I can't tell you how many times I have watched the video's of the Imposter and Impression builds: UNBELIEVABLE craftsmanship and vision. I loved the expressions and comments from Victor after seeing and driving this masterpiece. God Bless you Chip and the entire crew.🙂

This was the first new car I ever bought. I was a young soldier in Germany and purchased the car sight unseen. I picked it up in New Jersey on my return to the US. It was a wonderful trip across the country with snow storms, thunderstorms, long days driving until I arrived home in California. I will never forget my Chevy BelAire.

I feel like watching Foose design up the game is something I have been doing my entire life. From his work with Boyd to to overhaul to the new work that makes us all stop and look. Always on top. Someday I would like to shake your hand Chip Foose. God bless.

I'm at a loss for words when it comes to seeing the beauty that Chip brings to life. I'm very much a purist when it comes to classic cars. Chip is a wizard with cars. I'd be a puddle of tears if this were my car that he had refinished. Absolute pure joy. It's obvious the owner of this car was giddy as a school boy when he got to see what the Foose team did.

My first car, in 1970, was a 57 BelAir, gold over yellow--(not the prettiest, but it was mine)--265 c.i. 4 bbl Rochester PowerGlide. It was a cruiser. Bought it for $140, sold it for $250! Still wish I hadn't sold it. Thanks for the memories. THIS is the way to do resto-mod!

I have to say that the color is beautiful and the stance and sound is perfect for a 1956 restore with the best of the old time style and modern drivability. Again Foose does what we all wished it would be been built from the start.

More than just a flawless build, BRAVOOOO for the owner to keep it looking totally stock - even the so-called "too-big" steering wheel. I personally love the original old wheel on classics One of my favorite elements. That shrunken thick steering wheel just throws off the interior in my opinion. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT resto-mod.
@tarekstone49513 жыл бұрын
Mr. Foose , your drawings are some of the best designs I ever seen when your show was on TV. I remember I seen somewhere you were a designer for either GM or one of the major manufacturers. I am an autobody repair technician for Autohaus in Williamsburg Va. I've owned my own small independent auto body and paint business, Poquoson autobody. I've been in the business since 1987. I dont know your opinion on the knew vehicles being produced but these vehicles are made of so much plastic now days it's a totally knew experience to be able to repair these. I strive myself in doing as close to perfect repairs as possible. I hope to see you again on TV someday. God bless you Mr. Foose and your unbelievable skills

My first car (and my dream car) was a '56 Belair. I like that you kept the same two-tone bench seats with the silver piping. Mine were black and white. I like that you kept a mostly stock dash. Mine was black and you kept that original BIG steering wheel. Mine had manual steering and brakes and the 265. Mine was kind of a turquoise blue, but I really like the two-tone paint on this car. I got my car around 1972 and owned it for a couple of years until I was forced to sell it to go off to college. Back then, we "jacked up" the back of the car and used looser shocks in the front and stiffer shocks in the rear for weight transference. I am not as much of a fan of the chopped/low-rider look, but otherwise this car is a beauty. The owner had tears in his eyes. Understand. Great job.

when i was 17 i bought my 56 Belair,which was almost a new car .originally seafoam green ,it was repainted maroon and silver. Around 1975 I decided i wanted a colour change again and resprayed it Copper bronze metallic and Cream ,it looked for all the world just this coupe. My interior was typical 56 belair, in black and white with silver piping and factory stock. One of those cars I wished I had never sold. But..... what is impressive to me as a VW owner, is that type III pick up, which is pretty neat!.

55 and 56 steering wheels are beautiful. When you change them the car looks like a chimp owns it.
@nathanadkins29853 жыл бұрын
Agree. Another thing I hate is when they make the interior look a modern Cadillac. Keep interior stock just add a sweet Hurst shifter. I dont LED lights and somewhere to put my bluetooth. All those adds make the car look cheap. All you need is some good disc breaks and a hot engine. I dont think power steering would be to bad. As long as it does not take away from the original look of the car.

That caramel color would look good on a mid-late 2000s Mustang with some silver stripes. One of my dream cars is a 55-57 Bel Air. Now that I kind of have the money to buy one, I can't because diabetes screwed up the retina in my good eye. My other eye has been legally blind since I was a kid. And now both eyes are. So driving any of my dream cars will never happen. Enjoy the car for me Victor.
