Eric, he was perfect at the time and as a fan he is my favourite player. Special without a doubt but the change on the team was massive. Match winner but also helped us tick though a game. I love every player who played bar the odd few. So many special players and signings but Eric Cantona changed us.

Just ask Gordon Strachan.. the documentary that Eric cantona made always makes me laugh when Strachan is telling the players what to expect when going from Ron Atkinson to Alex Ferguson. He doesn't a little chuckle and says "this is different boys, this is very different" 😂😂 it's my favourite bit of the whole documentary

A lot of people forget/ don't know that Alex Ferguson was co manager of Aberdeen when he left for Man Utd , Archie Knox had returned from being Dundee manager to become co manger . You say Ferguson was mental at Aberdeen but it was thought in the Scottish game Archie was more mental than Ferguson .

Loved the throwaway comment from Scholes about Ferguson sitting at the awards dinner studying Ashley Young. So many people ask what was Ferguson's secret to success and the answers are often vague. That is the first time I think I have heard someone explain what kind of behaviour seperated him from the rest ❤

United played my team back in the day. Waited outside for the United team to come out the stadium and get on the coach. Butt and Scholes just walked right past us and didn't even acknowledge any of the fans waiting, United fans included. They got straight on the coach and started playing cards. There was only Ferguson, Beckham and Nistelrooy who signed autographs and spoke to us.
