You know when a video is really good when you need to watch more than once to not lose any details. Great job!!! It also made me questionate why I'm just drinking martines and not working on my external rotators at this holliday xD
@HoopersBeta4 жыл бұрын
Haha, thanks for watching, twice! To make things better... we have a quick video on external rotator exercises coming out soon!

This is a really insightful analysis - thank you so much for doing these! As I've progressed through my own climbing, I've definitely come to appreciate a lot of the "body mechanics" that are involved with the sport. I really appreciate that you guys really highlighting climbing as an output of how we move our body (eg. forces generated, how do we generate them, what parts of our body are involved, etc.). Sometimes I think it's easy to forget or overlook that climbing is a very involved sport and certainly goes beyond just plunking our feet/hands down on random holds. It's just so incredibly nuanced and I love that your video really demonstrates this. (I also thought this video was much improved from the last one! While that one was very good, I thought the side by side comparisons, references to your own videos, and the sweet sweet MS Paint markings, really helped illustrate your points!) Any ways, thank you again so much for doing these. My shoulders are also thanking you (no joke, the reason why I started working on them is because of your channel. Has been an eye opening experience...) Cheers and Happy New Year!

Another great video with super informative content! As a newer climber I still struggle reading what to do with my feet on problems in the gym, like yep there’s footholds there, guess I’ll use them somehow. Now I feel like I know more of how to look at the moves and actually know HOW to use my feet instead of just guessing. Looking forward to testing it out on my next climbs.

Awesome! You can even video tape yourself and try to do something similar for yourself! And that way you can make little adjustments as you climb.

Love all your vids, keep up the good work brohams!! I have a Mini Moonboard and climb 4x a week. My biggest limiter is skin rather than muscle/tendons. If I tape my skin where my splits often occur, would I be hurting my skins adaption to climbing?
@HoopersBeta4 жыл бұрын
Are you getting splits because your skin just isn't healing enough between climbs? Or is it a certain hold? I'm not an expert on skin, but typically dryer skin is more likely to split. Pre-taping to prevent the split would be beneficial if you just aren't allowing enough time for your skin to heal. It would give your skin more time to heal and get back to a healthy state, otherwise you may just be continuing to climb on skin that isn't fully recovered. You may want to look into some rhino repair as well, though, if your skin just isn't healing quick enough and you want to keep climbing at that frequency.

Great content guys! On the aspect of Nordic Curls, they have proved exceptionally difficult to do in a one-bedroom condo during lockdown. Haha But by god are they effective, can't wait to go test out the heelhooks on rock again!

Hah agreed! They are a favorite of mine for sure. Thanks for watching/subbing!
